Dunk contest has been lame for a long time.. I don't get into all star weekend..

yep all star weekend is for noobs and kids. it's like the nba's version of high school musical.

Anyone who gets serious into it is lame. and judging a player's greatness by making the all star team is equally lame.

On a more serious note, major talks between Cavs and Suns to trade Stoudemire for Ilgauskas and Hickson. What!?!?!?!? At this point, im interested to see some change in roster to get defensively tougher down low, but for these two this is just ridiculous. Im sick of owners who are too afraid to spend money and want to dump their star player just to get financial relief. this is so sickening.

Bad trade on the suns part.. Kerr/Sarver=Failure

yeah, the suns are pretty much going to waive Ilgauskas too, which would mean they are just dumping salary for nothing in return. They already written this year off as a no go.... F you sarver/kerr

I can't believe Nash signed an extension.

really?, havent heard that one. That would be sweet, but I think Antawn Jamison makes a better fit, as much as I love to watch Amare play, I think he would be a bad fit for the Cavs.........they need someone who can guard the quicker Pf's in the leaugue. Hickson has played great for them though as a rookie, it would be a shame to let him go.

I can't believe Nash signed an extension.

He did so cause they thought he would be playing with Amare for the rest of his time in phoenix :lol

With a piece like Amare for trade they need to land someone that is a perfect compliment to Nash.. Just dumping him is stupid.. Didn't he and Shaq not mesh very well as a PF/C combo?.. If I were CLE I would keep whats gotten you the best record in the league.. They keep making moves to try and impress LeBron.. But I guess for the deal they're offering you would have to take Amare.. that'd be a steal.

totally agree man. look at what dallas got for an injury plagued howard....unreal. they're going to be way tougher now imo. Sarver should take notes on what Cuban does and grow some balls.

People are already labeling the Amare, Ilgauskas + Hickson trade as the next Gasol trade, and rightfully so.

Amare's numbers declined alongside of shaq, but shaq still put up good numbers for his age and Amare did alright. It was just not as impressive as his numbers from the previous years.

i think you guys are forgetting what the Gasol trade did for memphis. That year, it was a steal, but they got a very talented Marc Gasol out of it and the trade freed up cap space for them to sign Randolph......its just that this year is finally showing the payoff of that trade.

Hickson is a very talented rookie player with a lot of potential. If the trade goes through, it may look like a steal this year, but could work out for the suns in the future.

Hickson looked good the few times I watched.. Just seems like a messy deal for the suns..

I watch Cavs basketball on a regular basis. Big Z and JJ for Amare is beyond messy for the Suns. It would be interesting to hear Kerr's explanation on such a deal since reports state the Suns are "not just looking to dump salary". Hmmmm ok......

Heat makin a run for Amare...........need to suck up to Wade, but would prolly lose Beasley to get him. Whos gonna win the race for Amare?

Checked the NBA.com site, and I saw news about Marcus Camby (LAC) for Steve Blake & Travis Outlaw (POR).. But none for the Amar'e rumored trade.

Where do you guys get your NBA trade rumors? :)

What did it exactly do for Memphis?? I ask that because I know what it did for the Lakers....It got them another championship. Meanwhile, Memphis is 26-26 and not even in the playoff picture at the moment.... still a lopsided trade imo, no matter how good memphis has become in the regular season compared to what they were. they are still not a true contender.

There not a title contender, but they are a playoff contender. This is still an extremely young team. All one could ask of them, is to get better year by year and it looks like their on the right track to do that with Marc Gasol and Randolph. The point is rarely in a NBA trade do both teams get equal talent going both ways, but Memphis got more than some people tend to think. Even with Pau, they never got out of the first round, so it made sense to dump him to help build their future, it just so happens, that Gasol is prolly the most important aspect of Lakers winning a title.

Wizards' Jamison reportedly traded to Cavs, leaves arena

Posted Feb 17 2010 7:55PM

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Amid reports of a three-way trade between Washington, Cleveland and the Los Angeles Clippers, Wizards forward Antawn Jamison has left the arena right before Washington's game with Minnesota.

The deal, which was not announced at gametime but first reported by The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, had Jamison heading to the Cavaliers.

Drew Gooden, who the Wizards acquired on Saturday from Dallas in the trade for Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson, was to go to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Washington would reportedly receive Cavs center Zyundras Ilgauskas and a first-round draft choice from Cleveland, along with forward Al Thornton and forward/center Brian Skinner from the Clippers.

Jamison left the arena as the game was starting and declined to comment to reporters.

That means the Cavs would get Jamison and still keep Hickson if this is true, please be true :monkey3

They also got Sebastian Telfair and Big Z will most likely get bought out so the Cavs basicly got Jamison and Telfair for a draft pick and draft rights to a nobody :joy
