There are a lot of Haters here P, I fight the good fight every day against them!

Tradition of Winning and Success. I like the comparison.

So what makes one a hater? I dont like either team in the finals. Why? Their fans. Most of them are arrogant SOB who are the poorest of winners and losers. That goes for teams like the Yankees, Cowboys, etc.

When my teams where winning titles even as a kid I let them do the talking. I prefer to just let them handle all I need to say that way I can just walk in a room and smile to anyone who has tried to give me ____ in a negative way about my team.

Now, before I get hammered and all. Let me say I absolutley respect the tradition of teams like the Lakers, Celtics, Yankees, Cowboys, Red Soxs, Patriots, etc. As a sports junkie if you can't you need to just GTFO IMO. However, for me I guess fans of certain teams rub me the wrong way cause they feel the need to act like a jerk and ALWAYS let us know that their team is doing xy or z.

So what makes one a hater?
Haters are people who in my case hate on the Lakers 24/7 and seems like the only thought on their minds is hope of their failure. Most aren't even fans of the opposing team or Basketball for that matter, they just hate for the sake of it. "Lakers suck", "____ Kobe", "Lakers are just lucky" :)lol), all stupid ____ that I hear that is just annoying. And it is CONSTANT. This is how stupid haters can be, a co-worker told me that his friend's wife was going to spank her 5 year old daughter 'cause she picked up a pair of pom poms and started rooting for the Lakers. Their goal in life is to talk as much ____ as possible and pray when they wake and go to bed that the Lakers Fail.

**** Haters.

As a Pats fan, I can understand the idea of haters, but I've learned to embrace the hate.

As for this series, I'm not sure. The Lakers looked great last night, while that was probably the worst the C's have looked throughout the playoffs. I can't see them playing like that in G2 which now a must win in my opinion.

Looks like a preemptive strike for when Lebron doesn't re-sign with the Cavs...

"CLEVELAND -- Danny Ferry resigned as general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers, a surprise decision that complicates the most important offseason in team history.

Ferry's departure Friday after five seasons occurred two weeks after the club fired coach Mike Brown following the team's second-round loss to the Boston Celtics in the NBA playoffs. It also comes as the team is making plans to try to re-sign two-time MVP LeBron James, who will be a free agent next month.

Ferry was in the final month of his contract. He said the decision not to renew his contract was a mutual one with owner Dan Gilbert.

"I thought it was important that there was as much clarity as possible in the organization at this time, so things could start moving forward," Ferry told The Associated Press. "It's important then whomever is hired as the head coach knows, feels and understands the people he is going to work with."

Assistant GM Chris Grant will take over for Ferry, who played in Cleveland for 10 years and became the club's GM in 2005.

Ferry did not give any specifics about the reasons behind him leaving. It was assumed he would remain with Cleveland, an organization now undergoing a massive overhaul just as James is set to enter the free-agent market.

Gilbert will address Ferry's parting later in a conference call.

Cleveland's decision to fire Brown, with whom Ferry worked in San Antonio, may have created a divide between the GM and Gilbert. Ferry, though, said there were no hard feelings with Gilbert, who hired him as Cleveland's eighth GM on June 27, 2005.

"It is the right time to move on," Ferry said. "Chris is prepared to do a great job. This will be a natural transition for him. He's done everything that a GM does at every level."

Ferry led the Cavs through the most successful period in their history, peaking with the club's first finals appearance in 2007.

But despite winning 127 regular-season games and having the league's best record the past two seasons, the Cavaliers fell short of a title, losing to Orlando in the Eastern Conference finals last season and to the Celtics last month. And now, they're on the verge of possibly losing James.

The club went 272-138 during Ferry's five seasons.

Ferry said the club's strategy to re-sign James will not be affected by his departure.

Gilbert praised Ferry in a statement released by the team.

"For five years, Danny Ferry was instrumental in leading the establishment of a culture, process and professionalism that has become part of the fabric of the definition of 'who' are the Cleveland Cavaliers. Danny worked extremely hard to create this strong foundation that we will continue to build upon going forward with much gratitude and appreciation," Gilbert said. "This solid foundation is evident by the natural and clear choice to choose his close associate, Chris Grant, whom Danny worked in partnership with for his entire five years leading the Cavaliers front office, to succeed Danny as the Cleveland Cavaliers new general manager."

Grant almost left the Cavs two years ago to take the GM job in Atlanta, where he spent nine seasons working in a variety of roles with the Hawks."

I understand that. Those fans are annoying. Most of them have no basis other than just being annoying. Believe me I catch it with my teams and players as well.

That all being said there are fans of our teams that are equally as bad.

Do I hate the Lakers....YEA.....do I hate Kobe.....F NO he's the best player in NBA history not named Jordan(JMO). Always love watching them(Lakers) play cause Kobe is very intertaining to watch.....always love giving the Lakers diehards crap too.

I would place Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, and Oscar Robertson way ahead of Kobe.

I ___in hate the Lakers 24/7, well really, any LA team. Thats to be expected for any Kings or Giants fan. All the battles between the teams, and my team not coming on top, of course I would hate those teams. Not hating them just wouldnt make sense when they have held back my fav teams from winning titles. I think any big sports fan would feel the same way, and I know a lot of LA fans hate NO. Cal teams, and would have the same kind of hatred if the roles were reversed. That doesnt mean I go out and disrespect LA fans unless they bring it on themselves, but I think I have the right to hate the teams I wanna hate without someone constantly saying ____ the haters all the time.

Kobe the best player in NBA history besides Jordan? I don't think so...:nono

Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, Shaq, Larry Bird, Kareem, Magic, all are better IMO. He may be the second best player currently in the league behind LeBron.

Wow I get now why people say your a dumb ass. Lebron better then Kobe....dumbest thing i've ever read on this or any board. Lebron has nothing to show for his career to date except some MVP awards and alot of postseason failure.

I don't think you can compare guards vs. big men and say who's better.. Different eras are hard to compare as well..

On a side note what was Kobe thinking when he did that photo shoot..

Lebron is a greater physical specimen, but until he wins the championship, he shouldn't be considered the best in the league. I'm no Kobe fan by any stretch of the imagination, but it seems pretty clear to me that he's the best overall player and closer in the league right now.

But that doesn't make him a top 5, or even top 10 all-time player. And though I agree that it is hard to compare him to big men, it is fair. When you have discussions of best player, you have to lump them all together. And in terms of overall impact, big men will always have the advantage because they can single-handedly win games. It is even worse for point guards like Bob Cousy and John Stockton, who are frequently over-looked even in lieu of shooting guards and forwards because they rely so heavily on teammates. I doubt Karl Malone would be a household name without Stockton.

First of all, fix the typos. you are = you're. It just makes it more apparent I am out of your league. Secondly, no one calls me a dumb ass, especially because of my opinions on basketball:cuckoo:. LeBron is a better player in my opinion. Deal with my opinion or cry yourself to sleep. You claim Kobe is the best player ever besides MJ! Clearly you have no grasp of the concept of history, because many players have come around who are better than him.
