Nice to see the Celtic back-ups come in a play like madmen last night. I admire Rivers' good sense to let them stay in the game when they were playing that well in the 4th. Lots of other coaches would have put the "stars" in sooner, and possibly lost the game because of it.

Boston has to win Game 5 if they want to win the championship. I can't see them winning two games in a row in L.A. if they go back down 3-2.

Conversely, even if L.A. drops Game 5, I think they could win the championship with the remaining two games in L.A.

It somehow reminds me of the 93 Finals when New York went back to Houston with a 3-2 series lead and lost the last two games.

Well don't forget this years Celtics are better on the road then at home.

Tough loss, but as Phil Jax said, Their backs were against the wall, they had to play desperate and they had to rely on their bench to bail them out. Truth of it is, boston's 'stars' are still playing like garbage and I like that.

I don't know, bro. If I were a Lakers fan and see that the Celtics star players have been garbage so far yet the series is still tied 2-2 I might be a tad concerned.

Game 5 is obviously humongous for both teams.

I agree, but I dont know if either team is gonna be able to win 2 games in a row. I think LA will win the next, then Boston wins game 6, then LA wins game 7. Of course, I hope this doesnt happen . Thats assuming Bynum is able to play more than 12 minutes a game. His presence is the most important thing for their them.

Just hoping to see more consistency from the Celtics starters. Frustrating seeing the Big 3 (Garnett, Pierce, Allen) struggle at different points in this series. I want to see these guys playing on the same page from here on out. These next two games are vital.

I like the six point lead at the half, but this feels like it should be sixteen.

Pierce is shooting well, hopefully it carries over. The end though, what the hell? Pierce can still be such a baby sometimes.:banghead It's the FINALS, no pouting.

Celts have played about the best they can, shooting 60% to the Lakers 34% and they Lakers are still in the game. The Lakers are also beating them on the boards. If the Celts can't match the first half and the Lakers play to their potential with Pao breaking through, it could go down to the wire.

Other Notes: Kobe looks desperate with the tough Celts D. Odom is still a joke. Pao frustrated, not a factor, should be.

Worst announcing Crew ever. Jeff Van Gundy has become a parody of himself. Play by play Guy is below average. Consider the Greats available: D Stockton, Marv, even Kevin Harlan would be better.

Bottom Line: Advantage Celts.

Well I wouldnt say the Celts are playing the best they can. They are shooting well, but LA is still killing them on the O. Boards and turnovers are killing them, I believe LA has more free throws as well, so thats why the game is so close. The Celts arent gonna shoot as well in the 2nd half, so they need to play better all around if they are gonna take this. The Defense is good though. Bynum doesnt look very good out there, but hes gotta find a way for Phil to keep him on the floor cause he is so damn long, but he isnt playing well

Yet, they are very much in this game. Boston has been unable to pull away, despite the gaudy shooting percentage. Lakers have been rebounding far better than Boston tonight.

And WTF is going on with the refs tonight? They calls lots of fouls for awhile, then they let them play for awhile calling nothing, then they start calling touch fouls again. . .at least stay consistent in a game. How are the players gonna know how to play?

Stern wants 7 games. Don't worry there WILL be a 7th game. Anyone who does not believe the NBA is partially fixed is blind.

I don't think it's fully fixed with the league scripting the winners, but I do believe they have the refs make sure some series go longer at times. I will never forget that Kings/Lakers series several years ago. Talk about fixed.
