regular season record....why put so much emphasis on it? The spurs never finish the reg season at the top but they are still playoff contenders. Most of the teams the Lakers have played thus far are not even playoff teams either.

Lakers, Celtics.. No one else can touch them.. On a different level then the rest of the league.. Difference between these two teams is the Lakers are Alot deeper and younger, basically we can withstand the injury bug more so..

Exactly. It's a 2 team league this year plain and simple. I know fans of the Suns, Rockets, Spurs, Pistons, Hornets, etc. still have hope that their teams can win it all, but the reality is that, barring injury, it's the Lakers and Celtics running laps around everyone else. Period.
