Lakers know if they didn't give him big money someone else would give him more..

I for one believe the hype.. Barring injury he will be a monster.. True centers are a rarity..

True centers are rare which is a reason I'm rooting Bynum, Oden, Lopez (twins) etc to succeed. Run and gun basketball creates alot of points but (IMO) isn't as exciting as the physical play created by half court sets.

The Lakers will DOMINATE the league this year, barring serious injuries they could pull a 65 win season. Mark it down now, the Lake-Show will be on in June.

iverson to the pistons for billups and mcdyess. Wow!:google

I don't think this really makes either team any better...

Rip and Iverson will be a quick back court..

And I guess they fig'd one ball doesn't work between Iverson and Anthony..

yeah I agree about the iverson/anthony thing. For some reason denver's dynamic didnt really work even with those two great scorers.

still kind of weird to see iverson with the pistons.

I'm not sure it was really a "not enough to go around" issue with Iverson and Melo. It was more like a "nobody gets it around". A true point guard tasked with making the decision who to feed it to and when, it would have worked. Someone like Tony Parker or Billups or even Andre Miller on the court with Iverson and Melo would have made that double headed monster truly dangerous. Anyway, I don't think either team gets the better or worse of the deal. They both needed a shakeup.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotflholy shat that was funny, thanks for that John. You gotta admit, that's just as funny as the spurs' supermarket commercials.

That first one is the best. I didn't laugh as much at the second one, but that first is comedy gold. I particularly like when they are pouring the vitamin water into his mouth.:lol:lol:lol

The more I think about the AI for Billups trade the more I like it for Denver.

I liked AI, but moving him allows JR Smith to start and moves Anthony Carter to a backup PG. Now Kleiza can come in for either Smith or Melo.

We still have ^^^^ for coach though.

Billups trade is a great move (not financially) in terms of team chemistry. The team was full of gunners (Melo, AI, Smith). Removing AI allows Melo and Smith to develop and Billups to manage the team.

(IMO) Karl will be gone by year end (if not sooner) because the Nuggets management will not accept missing the play-offs or another first round exit. Payroll is too high for medicore performance. Be patient
