It was a great game. Nice to see the better team win. Was extremely nervous when Peirce got carried off. It's only one game and one the Celts needed to win at home.

Kobe may have been the MVP, but KG showed he's the best player in the league

Waaay too many second chances for the Celts. Plus they outrebounded the Lakers as feared 46-33. That's 13 possession right there. Lakers played well for the second half of the second period only. And at least ten shots went in and out. Through most of the second half they played within one possession of the Celts by not playing well.

KG misssed nine in a row, Kobe missed too many too.

If the Lakers play better ball they still have a shot of taking game 2. Celts played great D against Kobe, he must be frustrated.

Good game.. They played better down the stretch.. We win the next game there and we will have a huge advantage.. Nobody played "great" on the Lakers, exept for maybe Fish.

I'm glad Peirce came back, don't want to see any main players get hurt.

Well I watched most of the game last night... then fell asleep in the third quarter ... and felt ... nothing. Nothing at all. I grew up as a prime Laker Hater... in fact, the only Laker team I ever cheered for was when Wilt Chamberlain was there breifly and they had that All Star team with Baylor and West. I absolutely loved the Celtics under Russell, Cowens and Bird. That was perfect basketball. I am convinced Red was the best sports executive in history.

So I watched last night and felt nothing. This is not the Celtics of history. This is not the Lakers of history. Just two good teams trying to win a title despite all the media hype.

And I hate the 9 pm start. I like early starts - 8 at the latest and Sunday afternoon games that start no later than 3 pm.

Sure wish the Celts stuck to good old basketball. I hate the flashy introductions, cheerleaders and other crap that is so abundant around the league. Its all flash and trash. Basketball is what is suppose to be about. It would be nice if the most storied and traditional team in the league remembered that. But now they are like all the rest taking to pimping the game.

I saw that, only 4 Free Throws shot by him. They really weren't letting him get into the paint.

The only thing gayer than that Celtics intro was the Suns intro when Shaq joined them.. I'm w/ you there.. I hate all that pre game circus stuff, particuarily the Jumbotron thing.. SOOOOOO lame.. Glad the Lakers don't do that stupid stuff..

If we win game 2, we can consider this a successful trip..
