The length is nice. Still not sold on the texture.

Cape was much improved by steaming. I'll probably do it one more time to get the remaining wrinkles out.

Steamed Cape? How do you do this? With a regular Iron , just release steam away from the material? Which side do you steam, the pleather side or the cloth side? or both?

Here are a few pics of my repainted figure with the stock cape and Tony's custom cape. The stock cape is steamed and futzed and Tony's was basically just thrown on. You can see how Tony's cape just takes the figure to the next level. If you like your NECA Keaton batman, but want to love him, do yourself a favor and get Tony's cape!!! Sorry for the quality/configuration of the pics. Just took quick pics with my ipad so you guys could compare.

Glad you got one brother! :duff

You can make the stock cape look decent with work... But Tony's is crazy good the minute you put it on. And there is no comparison really when it comes to the length.

It is an investment, yes... But in my opinion it really elevates the figure.

Hold the cape over boiling water. That's what I did anyway. I wore one of those 'ov glove' type products to avoid scalding my hand.

Hey Mags, your Bats looks AWESOME bro but can I ask you is it worth the price( the full price)?I'm still on the fence, for many reasons but sometimes PICS don't do the figure justice so that's why I ask!^_^

Thanks a lot, Sallah! I decided to get the cape after watching your review. So thanks again for making that awesome, informative video!

Yeah I agree, I also think NECA did a pretty good job with their stock cape. It can look okay when it's futzed/steamed properly. But no matter how long you spend futzing the stock cape, it still looks like a home-made trash bag poncho when compared side-by-side with Tony's cape, IMO. Sorry if that sounded harsh, but there's no way I could go back to the stock cape after having Tony's cape in hand.

The material for Tony's cape isn't spot on when it comes to sheen (finish is a little too matte), but the cape's length, nice weight, natural drape, quality faux leather material and excellent craftsmanship make it a worthwhile investment for me.

I can see why a lot of forum members are hesitant to buy the cape due to cost, texture etc. And I don't blame them, because I felt pretty much the same way before I pulled the trigger. But I felt the stock cape was one of the figure's main weaknesses that really hurt the figure's overall look (paint job was the other main issue). With NECA figures, I usually like them for about a week or month, but then quickly get tired of them due to their glaring flaws. But now that I have the custom cape in hand, I catch myself staring at this guy like he's one of my high-end figures. I enjoy having him in my collection much more now and don't see him losing his spot on the shelf anytime soon. So the way I see it is: instead of spending $80-90 on a figure that I'd quickly get tired of, he's now a ~$150 investment that will be a proud addition to my collection and displayed on my shelf for many years to come.

Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to encourage those on the fence to pull the trigger and get this cape. You won't be disappointed. Thanks again for the review/video, Sallah and thanks to Tony for delivering an awesome, quality cape for this figure!!

The figure has issues, but it's definitely worth the retail price. Might not seem like it when you first open him up, but I wouldn't have regreted full price.

I definitely regretted getting this, and want to sell it before the rubber deteriorates anymore. I can't even get it away for £150. Anyone in the UK wanting to buy this figure with a cracked rubber suit around the right shoulder, please pm me. Everything else is mint, including box.

Henny Penny you seem to have worst luck with everything you get. I love this figure and have no quality control issues. No crossed eyes or anything. I will have to get one of Tony's capes though to make him look even better

Even if there was rubber on the suit, how could it deteriorate that quickly?

The figure has only been out for about 2 months...
