I'll tell you one thing, if I had the prototype version of every HT Predator out there, I never would've sold my HT P1... plus the HT P2 proto kicked all kinds of ass.

The promotional pictures of the bio mask which Hot Toys used aren't even the real ones that we really get on hand. I'm not sure if it's the lighting they used which make it seem more silver-esque. Even the dreadlocks in the pictures flow down so naturally whereas the ones we got make the pred seem like he just woke up from bed.

Anyway, for $80 and for a 1/4 scale it really makes the toy dirt cheap compared to what HT is charging these days.

One thing though, the thin black line in the NECA pictures compared to the REAL kevin peter hall picture, the real picture's black line isn't as obvious as the NECA one. I really hope that black line will be barely noticeable.

First off, there's only 383 pages in this thread.

Second, not everyone can be as fanatical as you can be. Some people are relatively new to the scene and I have been primarily focusing on the HT line. I don't owe it to you or anybody else to scour all 383 of the pages here just to find the piece of information I need. I saw this at first glance at the most recent page and I asked away. You wanna persecute me for that?

Edit : THanks Lord Freezer. At least someone can give a simple answer to my question. It's really that simple compared to bashing someone for not visiting this thread 24/7. As a follow up question though, is the thin black line supposed to be there to begin with or is it supposed to separate the eyes entirely with no thin black gap at all?

2nd edit : I think the "****" was unnecessary even though I deliberately typed it as 4 asterisks to block out outward profanity although after thinking about it, it does imply it. I typed it out of anger since I find people like this to be quite unbelievable and infuriating, seeing how they would treat newcomers and the like. Previous experiences in this forum have made me feel welcome and I have made alot of friends here who have been extremely helpful and if I was a completely new person in the scene, I wouldn't appreciate someone actually saying these things when I don't think it's a crime to actually arrive late at the scene and harmlessly ask a few questions.

Did pretty much the same thing to me. I chalk it up to immaturity on his part...from what I've seen of his antics since I been here. Just be sure to know what is on every single page before you post something. Heaven forbid you don't have everything memorized by the time you post or you will be lectured on how you are "late to the party". I am not gonna sit here and assume that the guy don't have a job and sits around here all day long just refreshing his page to read every single solitary post.....but seems about right.

I still love my HT P2, though he does not look 100% screen accurate...in either case I still think its an impressive figure.

@Lord Freezer : Misleading AND disappointing. I was in such disbelief that when I received it I went to the Hot Toys official website and constantly made comparisons with it until I was hopelessly disappointed at how different it looked. The magics of advertising.

@Pebeforeugo : Well I guess there's just no point in letting these sort of people stomping on us just cos we're new. At least we all have each other ahahaha

Sigh I'm still scouring eBay for HT P2 and Sideshow exclusive P1 Diorama with decent prices Any ideas how much I should be paying for the diorama?

On topic though, I really hope the mask really looks like the on screen one. It just has that epic cybernetic feel to it.

HT P2 is kinda hit or miss. Sometimes you will see them sell for 350 used then a new in box one will sell for $800+. Recently the P1 Diorama has gotten a surge on ebay. They went from getting $260ish to all the sudden selling in the $350 range pretty steady now. Kinda ticked me off because I was going to pick one up and all the sudden they are $100-$200 more than they were just selling for. I am gonna hold my ground on it and not pay more than $250 for one.

I agree, I have my complaints about the HT P1, specifically the Mask (which I am getting a custom Tam) and the dreads. The rest of the figure I love, even the inaccurate face I think still has an amazing paint job and looks good enough. The rest of the figure IMO is amazing. I am with you thought, it will be nice to have a huge movie accurate figure!

Yup, one of my Detolf's is going to be dedicated to the P! and P1 only, this bad boy is going to be taking up 2 blocks...so I am hoping he is amazing
