NECA 1/4 scale predator

...I would love him as much as my Celtic. Still not totally accurate, but the color scheme is much less 'blah.' At least you get consistency and a unique tone to the prototype.

I wish thats what we got, I had a P2 and he looked horrible. I never liked the finally figure because the colors weren't what the Proto showed. the paint work was fine, at least I thought so, just the color palette sucked. And if that happened to this Predator, I am not sure what I would do because I am already on the fence about this figure. It's going to be epic and all, but I am lacking room for it, and I am finding money harder to come by.

Agree, the proto does look better. Still overall, love my P2 and would have a hard time every giving him up. Compared to my elder though, now thats another story

I tend to forget things quickly when they do not effect my life personally but being attacked by you out of no where I will always remember things like that.

I second this. Nobody likes to be told off especially when a community like this should be about sharing and being helpful. It's not a sin to be late to the collection scene in fact it should be encouraged to newcomers.

Sorry i do not know of a place to buy him in Europe.

I doubt you will be able to do that because the mandibles are opened a little even on the closed mouth version. Even if you sanded down the inside of the bio I think the face would still be too big in the mouth department.

We get it, bro. We're just saying that as far as HT goes -- not comparing it to anything else -- the prototype colors are awesome. NECA still has the market cornered on accuracy, so no issues there.

I mean, the skin patternation looks nothing like what HT implied and the paint work on the head... meh, the AVP's look miles better to me. Ah, well. My figure will make a good stand-in until NECA decides to make a 1/4 version of their own -- after which I am so selling my HT P2.

Really? I thought the paint application was well done actually, I mean it could have been better, but I thought they nailed the intricate patterns on the head. The body was extremely bland though which was kind of a drag.

I think it's probably HT's weakest Predator head paint-up to date. Those eyes are just... well, you know. Agree with you on the body blandness, though. I'm not saying that what HT advertised was the end-all-be-all of P2 figures, but it still looked great in the long-run of their releases (the armor weathering was also ace).

Don't think the coloring on this 1/4 will be a problem seeing as we've seen plenty of consistency in the pictures so far and NECA is being far more generous with behind-the-scenes photos here than with their other products.

Think of him like an expensive bottle of whisky. Too expensive to open up and drink and too good to open up and let someone else have a sip of. Best to keep hold of for a rainy day I'd say.

you do realize that it could be many factors...zoom on the camera and the angle. The only way you would be able to truly judge size if they were shot side by side and on the same camera using the same zoom.

I am pretty sure that two-ups are the same size as a HT predator though. If not then they are like 12 inches.
