____, I have a lot to look forward to, Transformers figures, Series 3 Predator figures, this figure and a trip to Tennessee the first week of June with my friends.

Was told by my my local retailer that there will be a shortage in supply for these puppies.

Those still on the fence better jump. :D

This is a must buy. :yess: I'll at least get the open mouthed version and pose him as epically as possible. Might go for a masked as well, not sure yet.

Can't remember if I saw an answer in here or not, but are these going to be available in TRU stores, or just an online thing?

I think you should go for it and to answer your question, I don't think these will make it to the store, well, Im pretty sure a Couple will but is probably not likely

Yeah, the next month of waiting is worse than the last 6 months. Time has just flown by since we first saw the announcement but has slowed down now it's almost here...:impatient:

LOL yes, yes it is, the sooner it gets the longer the days seem,
I really cannot wait to have the package on my table, opening it and seeing these puppies in front of me, I would also have an explosion... :lol

Whew, okay so this goes to show you how sad my life is, I just read through the first 40 pages of this thread and then the last 30 pages and I saw some remarkable, and hilarious, turn-arounds.

I saw people who were bad-mouthing NECA and these figures in the first 40 pages suddenly see the light and change their minds in the last 30 lol.

I have no point with that just something I noticed.:rotfl

Like you guys I have been waiting, craving and will go so far as to say out right lusting after a large-scale Predator ever since I began collecting many moons ago and once these sexy sons o' _____es come out and I have them in my bony hands, if I never buy another figure after them I won't care.

I have three, yes three, sets on pre-order, one set to display, one set to store in their boxes and the other I'll keep in a bomb shelter somewhere in case the apocalypse occurs.

If I'm going to be scouring our devastated world in search of the last vestiges of humanity, you better believe these Preds will be with me. :rock

Crazy? Sure and if you think I'm getting financially ass-raped by NECA than by all means consider my ass raped. :blissysmi

As for accessories and all that business I don't give a damn about any of that, all I want and need is a decent sculpt with decent paint apps (and even that's not that important because I'll get them repainted anyway) and space to put them.

I already have plans where they'll go, the helmeted Pred will be posed in a hanging position from a rubber tree plant (think when Dillion got his brief glimpse in the film after Poncho got nailed by the tree) we have in our living room and the other two will stand on a shelf.

I've seen the HT Predator and you know what, I don't care for it, while it does appear to be a great, albeit fanciful, representation of Pred it doesn't resemble Kevin Peter Hall in the suit and that is crucial to me. Plus I don't like how it's painted, it's colors seem too bright and vivid to me.

Not to mention I hate the GI Joe-looking joints. :slap

If I'm saying anything with my ranting here it's that I believe these Preds will be the greatest representations of the filmed creature we'll ever get in plastic form and I for one cannot thank NECA enough for fighting to bring these into our homes.

Lastly, any actual date yet? May is a little vague. Doesn't NECA update their site anymore? There's nary a word about this anywhere on there.

Tankman, any chance of getting a 7" Father Merrin and Father Karras to go with that gorgeous Regan possessed bed set? That would really set that beast off.

Each of the three figures are amazing indeed!
These will be in our hands soon enough. :rock

:welcome1: to the forums.

I actually traded in some games at TRU to be able to get this. got a solid $25 for my first run. not bad for some games that are about 3-4 years old. will go again when I finish some more games.

Good deal.
I didn't even realize they bought used games.

Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the welcome, guys, while I cant claim to own any really great high-end product, I'm a poor mo fo lol, I do try to modify and customize what I do get to make them better.

I don't think there is a single figure I've ever bought that I didn't do something to.

I ordered my Preds from Amoktime Toys, they also have a store located in NYC that I would love to visit one of these days. Price was the same, $200 for the set with $20 bucks S/H.

Hey! Whataya know! That's where I PO'd from too and for the same price.
They have since increased their PO price once they got a better feel just how popular these figures are.

Cool lol, and I also see that they have them listed as being pre-sold out now.

A scary proposition for late comers who want in on these...hurry hurry HURRY!

Yeah, I think a lot of the skeptics were on the fence just waiting for more pics.

It's NECA, so I can't say I blame them. :D

Right but when they want to they have it in them to do a terrific job, especially when they're driven as they appear to be with this release.

To their credit they still have the most screen-accurate 18" Michael Myers 1978 ever released, of course the mechanics coveralls were the wrong color but I fixed that hehe.

By the way just to show you that I'm not a total NECA fanboy, I have never bought nor will I ever buy any of their 7" Preds.

The details on these creatures cannot be adequately exemplified on such a small, and mass-produced, scale thus, well, they suck lol.

The only small Preds I own are the McFarlane ones and they're in the closet right now...way in the back, probably under some blankets.

I only bought them because I was just excited that someone was doing Pred figures but now I think they're horrible.

I own all of the 12" McFarlane Preds and while I like them the P1 Pred looks like it was painted by a drunk schizophrenic who was having some sort of seizure.

Their new factory seems to be an important aspect in the 1:4 Predator.
They certainly have the potential to create stunning figures.

I don't own ANY NECA figures. This will be my first.

If they make a P2 or Elder with the same or better attention to details as this P1, I will buy from them again. :yess:

Well now that we know NECA has the license to make large-scale Preds I see no reason why we wouldn't get either of those in 1:4 somewhere down the line if these sell well.
