NECA 1/4 scale predator

samesies. as a collector, having non-scale stuff that sticks out like a sore thumb is a pet peeve of mine. i only have one other 1:5 scale collectible which is the Amalgamated Dynamics X-Files Alien maquette. so i have my NECA pred next to that and my NECA Alien with my other 1:4 scale stuff in a separate display.

around 22.5 inches would be 1:4 scale. at 19 inches, this is just about 1:5 scale. pretty big difference. NECA could give a s#!t apparently.

YES! I was right, it's supposed to be a tad over 22 inches...

Anyway, I don't think people care that much becase this is what they were expecting. They aren't getting it just to go along with their other 1:4 scale collectibles. They just wanted a big, accurate Predator.

I don't really get how NECA can make such a great figure, but not know what scale it is in.. Pretty stupid, but I hardly care. It's in scale with their Alien, and looks great.
If it were SS, i'd be pretty pissed...

How is it not? It looks like it to me..

Wasn't the Alien like, 8 feet tall? KPH is about 7"5' - 7"6' in the Pred suit.. The NECA Alien is taller than the Pred.. I'm not seeing it.

the neca alien is about 24" standing straight up. that's 1:4 scale.

They should have been around the same height. Bolaji Bodejo, who was the main actor inside the Alien suit, was said to be about 6'8''. The Alien suit added a bit more height than the Pred suit, seeing as the head was fitted a little more like a hat than a mask.

Ultimately, the 1/4 NECA Pred is a little undersized. Unfortunate but, still doesn't change the fact that it's probably the best Predator figure we'll ever get for under $100.

no i think it's the right size. i say "think" because i don't have the SSC statue and i haven't measured it with lasers or anything. it's about 24in, which is 1/4 of 8ft.

Not the one I own. Mine's a little over 21 inches tall. Not that it matters anymore though. The leg fell off, the ankles can't hold him anymore, the head now has a crack (although that was from me throwing it across the room), the hip/leg joints are also weaker than hell now.. There goes my favorite god damn mother ____ing collectible.

There needs to be a law saying you can't sell something that will fall apart and become a big pile of ____ within less than a year of owning it. You hear that Hot Toys? Hear that NECA?

that's probably another reason you're glad it isn't SSC. just get another one for $30-$40 somewhere. i'm on my 2nd one after the first one took a dive and cracked the dome. it's NECA, it happens.

I'm not gonna keep buying a new one every 5-6 months. This is ridiculous, I said so many good things about this.
Now how's this going to work? I had the NECA Pred on one side, SS Predalien concept bust in the middle, and NECA Alien on the other side.

SO ____ING PISSED. I'm getting my baseball bat.

My Neca 1/4 Predator from bbts arrived!!... at customs and been held for verification and tax . Oh well, nothing I wasn't expecting. Now they send me a letter, I answer showing them how much I paid, then they take a few more days, and then in about 2 weeks I may actually have it.

Let me tell to the ones who live in USA, etc., you are lucky people . I have to pay more and also wait a lot more. Really fair...

BTW, been at one of my local TRUs on the weekend and no signs of Predators. I don't think we'll be lucky in Portugal to have those in stores.

They're far more accurate, but they're extremely cheap.

But then again, HT uses rubber that gets real dull after a few months..

Were you messing with it or did it just fall off on its own?

Why not try to get it replaced through NECA if you can't go where you bought it from. Shouldn't be breaking. Course, you tossed it...

He never even fell.

I was adjusting the wire that was helping support him, then noticed that he wasn't standing on his own, it was ALL the tiny little wire. So I pick him up, his leg falls off, I put it back on and try posing him, but every freaken joint is so loose that he can't hold any part of himself up.

I destroyed him with a baseball bat though. Kept his un-domed head, it looks nice.
