He never even fell.

I was adjusting the wire that was helping support him, then noticed that he wasn't standing on his own, it was ALL the tiny little wire. So I pick him up, his leg falls off, I put it back on and try posing him, but every freaken joint is so loose that he can't hold any part of himself up.

I destroyed him with a baseball bat though. Kept his un-domed head, it looks nice.

Well, I guess he's not going back then. Hate to hear that happened to yours. Was he all loose to begin with?

I hope that doesn't start happening to mine. This is one of those craftsmanship and materials things similar to the netting they need to look at. Figure is awesome, I really like mine. Craftsmanship seems to be a bit lacking though, or these things wouldn't happen.

you should of just picked a pose and glued him in place. that way you have your own pred statue. you should of sent the body too me instead of smashing it, if that's what you really did.

He was talking about the NECA Alien I believe, not the Predator.

Bolaji Badejo was/is 7'2". Same exact size as Kevin Peter Hall.
Uh, I read that he was 6"8' on the Alien anthology...

@Avenger

He wasn't loose when I first got him. Overtime the leg/hip joints started getting a bit loose, but I doubted it would get this bad.

Destroyed him, only have his head now, didn't want a NECA 21 inch Alien statue, wanted a NECA 21 inch Alien figure..

Oh! Phew. Some of us thought it was your Pred that got busted! Don't know if that's better or not....sucks either way.

Your really went all Sigourney on your Alien, didn't you lol.

What you should have done is take it up in a plane, throw it out and pretend it's an airlock lol.

Strange that some are having problems with theirs standing over time, I've had my Alien for over a year now and his joints are still as stiff as ever.

Maybe you couldve tightened the joints up with a bit of superglue or something?
I understand your frustration with it though.
I havent got the NECA alien but my friend has, and its a pain in the ass with those loose joints.

Badejo was 7'2".

The mistake people make is reading this quote (or something similar):

Badejo was a young African design student when he was picked up from a bar by Ridley Scott (director of 'Alien'). He was as big as Scott wanted the alien to be: at least two metres (6ft 7in) tall.

And not reading the rest:

In fact, he stood at well over 7ft. It was Scott's intention to create a monster that looked as if no human could be behind the mask. It was to be long and angular, with an impossible frame that only a few men would be able to fill. Badejo filled the role.

7'2". Same as KPH.

so the pred should be 21.5 inches tall?
depends on what you mean by "should". 19in is more or less dead-on for 1:5 scale. 1:4 scale would be 22.5in. but this is all academic at this point, we got a 19in predator. maybe neca could sell an exclusive sticker that says "1:5 Scale" that we can put on the box.

if he is really 7 feet and 2 inches then 1/4 of that is 21.5 where are you getting the 22.5 measurement?
no, that's how tall the actor without the costume was. with it, he was more like 7'6".

gah, this thread is giving me a headache.

This should give you an idea of how much height just the mask gave KPH p!tu. There's like 2 inches of foam there. Then add on some height for the shoes/pred feet and 7'5"-7'6" is a realistic estimate of height.

P2 would even be taller than that.

For Pete's sake just say he was one tall dude and be done with it lol. ;)

I fixed the seam in my bio, it was a lot easier than I thought, I sanded it gently down and used ordinary Testors silver and dabbed the area to hide the scoring/discoloration that the sanding caused.

The Testors silver blends perfectly when just dabbed on, you can't even tell the seam was ever there now.

Thankfully the Neca Predator will be my only 1/4 scale figure. I don't have to worry about whether the scale is correct or not since there are no other figures of that size here for comparison. :)
