Mine didnt fall until last week...weird part was, he did not buckle in any of the joints...ankles were in the same position...he fell, knocking over my mcfarlane 12" and both were on the floor, without a scratch or break...except the detached shoulder hose which was an easy fix...no scrapes, dents, cracks...its really weird, I cannot tell why it fell...it was still perfectly balanced when stood him back up without readjusting the figure...really boggling

Probably didn't want to be displayed anywhere near that McF piece of crap, so it was an attempted suicide.

I said this many, MANY , MANY pages back but I don't understand why you guys don't just tether them to the wall with fishing line?

I've had my Preds for over a month now and while the open mouth Pred is leaning forward (which helps him look ever more badass than he normally would) he can't fall because he's attached to the wall.

Line and some dry wall anchors and screws, will cost you about $4.00 for everything and give you peace of mind.

l don't see why you need fishing line. mine has been sitting on the top of my detolf with one knee ben slighty bent so he is resting slightly against the wall. he hasn't moved for a monh.

I guess you need it if you want your Preds to be free standing without them leaning on anything and, to me anyway, stands are very unsightly.

The way I have mine it's not feasible to have them right against the back wall since I have them more forward with the line pulled taught around their wastes.

In other words I have them leaning ever so slightly forward with the fishing line pulled taught, if I were to cut the line they would immediately fall.

I was at a garage sale today looking thru some boxes and I discoverd some netting at the bottom of the box... :yess:

The holes are between 1/2 and 1 cm wide, but they can be spread apart or put close together to make some irregular patterns in the netting.

It's very light. it seems to be some kind of woven threads, and it streches too. Looks blue in the pictures but it's a really dark grey.

As soon as I get my Predator back from Joe, I'm going to try it out and see what it looks like. :hi5:

Just judging by the pics it appears that that netting won't scale properly to this figure, the braiding that makes up the netting appears to be too thick.

Im telling you these preds are really touchy, they want to kill themselves for no reason!

but, in this dcase, I dont think he wanted to kill himself, I think he wanted to kill that McF piece of crap, Even if he died doing it lol

Nope, the head doesnt distort its shape at all. It perfectly keeps its original shape.

The order is this -

1] Boil the WHOLE head by putting it in a jug of boiling water(just pour kettle water into a jug).
Completely cover the head with the water and leave it to soak for 3 minutes.

2] Remove the head from the jug, then pry the mask away from the head. No tools are needed but you could use something like a butter knife if you like?
I started prying at the back/top of the mask to start off.

The mask came off VERY easily when I did this. It required no force at all. This is because the boiling water softens the glue and makes the glue useless at doing its job.
The mask will be one whole piece when you remove it.
You will then need to split the mask in two.
Just put the mask in boiling water for 3 minutes again to soften the glue that is keeping the mask as a whole piece.
Remove the mask from the jug and then bend it at the visor part and it will start to seperate into two pieces quite easily.

I will update this post tomorrow with a step by step tutorial with pictures. It will make things much easier to understand

Thanks bro you made the steps quite easy to understand. Looking forward to your step by step tutorial though.

Sounds like you mostly did everything with just your bare hands. Did you do any shavings though? My intention is to get the gap completely removed.

Yeah, I did some shaving. Only to the mask though. I havent shaved anything off the head yet like some people have done.
I will post the step by step tutorial tomorrow for definite...been a bit busy lately.
Heres the gap on mine now -

Fixing the Bio Helmet its that hard?

I'm new into modding Figures and I'm afraid of ruining my "Love".

Its really easy to fix it. Pry off the mask with a fork or something u can " wedge " if off with. The top of the bio and the mouth/cheeks are 2 parts so you will need to pull them off as 2 parts. Trim down the bottom of the visor as to lower the distance when putting the 2 pieces of mask back together. I glued the mask together before putting it back on the head. I didnt put it back on in 2 bits. then super glue the mask back onto the head.

(what i did anyway)

Can you tell me please the materials I need?

Also, I will be very happy if someone post some pics of how to do it.

Thanks anyways.

You only need a fork and some super glue to take it of and put it back on. And a sharp knife or something to trim the visor down. The plastic on the bio is soft and very flexible so it wont snap off. You just slowly wedge it away from the head so the glue holding it on weekens then you just get your thumb in there and pull it off. Or you can maybe even use a hair dryer on heat to loosen the glue to make it even easier.

You wont break it dont worry :p
