I completely removed the bottom part too. I only shaved a little bit off the top part.
It was really easy to do...but I almost chopped my finger off lol So be carefull!
Removing the mask was incredibly easy, too. Just remove the head and put it in a jug of boiling hot kettlewater for 3 minutes, then remove the mask by peeling it off with your fingers.
It just comes straight off. No strength or tools needed.

Thanks. But if you actually dip the head in boiling hot water, doesn't that sort of mould the shape of the mask/head while you're feeling it off?

I don't get the order though. Do you remove the top/bottom part of the mask first by prying it or do you boil it with hot water first?

Nope, the head doesnt distort its shape at all. It perfectly keeps its original shape.

The order is this -

1] Boil the WHOLE head by putting it in a jug of boiling water(just pour kettle water into a jug).
Completely cover the head with the water and leave it to soak for 3 minutes.

2] Remove the head from the jug, then pry the mask away from the head. No tools are needed but you could use something like a butter knife if you like?
I started prying at the back/top of the mask to start off.

The mask came off VERY easily when I did this. It required no force at all. This is because the boiling water softens the glue and makes the glue useless at doing its job.
The mask will be one whole piece when you remove it.
You will then need to split the mask in two.
Just put the mask in boiling water for 3 minutes again to soften the glue that is keeping the mask as a whole piece.
Remove the mask from the jug and then bend it at the visor part and it will start to seperate into two pieces quite easily.

I will update this post tomorrow with a step by step tutorial with pictures. It will make things much easier to understand

After standing in place for almost a month, one of them fell over and took out all 3. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I have mine on the floor in the middle of my power amp speakers and I check it almost daily because no matter how securely I pose it, it slowly starts leaning to the front or back :( .

BTW, here's a photo of mine, in a different setup than the usual photos, although the photo quality isn't the best...:

Since my previous photo wasn't in such good quality I just took 2 better photos of my Neca 1/4 Predator how it is right now in that same place :) . His left hand is holding the speaker like he's going to take a peak and at the same time trying to see if it doesn't start to lean by doing that way.

well the BASS from those SUBS are not gunna help him stay standing up buddy :lol:lol:lol

He hasn't fallen yet, and last week I played bass quite loud. He didn't complain :nana: . I don't think the vibrations are making him lean more than what people have been complaining. But I play mainly guitar, so less vibrations from low frequencies. Anyway, I'm always keeping an eye on him as I don't want him to fall :) .

I found a way to pose my pred and I even shake the table and he didnt even move,
but, it might seem a stupid way to people, what I did was put him on a table that is against a wall, and then bend his knees just a little bit,
just enough, so he is leaning backwards,
then I just placed him against the wall and, he doesn't move at all whatsoever,

i even shake the table a couple of times and he stays there,
well... maybe he falls eventually but, for a couple of days he is still there, i guess all the weight of the figure goes to the wall, so the feet and the joints in the feet dont have to support him

I said this many, MANY , MANY pages back but I don't understand why you guys don't just tether them to the wall with fishing line?

I've had my Preds for over a month now and while the open mouth Pred is leaning forward (which helps him look ever more badass than he normally would) he can't fall because he's attached to the wall.

Line and some dry wall anchors and screws, will cost you about $4.00 for everything and give you peace of mind.

Not everyone "wants to / can" make holes on their walls to support the figure... also, in my case, I don't even have any good place where I could put him against the wall to do that. But at least he's on the ground, so if eventually he falls, it's not a big fall. Either he falls over a Zoom GFX-8 or on instrument cables. The instrument cables are softer though :lol.

Fair enough, all I'm saying is is that it's a fool proof solution, provided you anchor them securely not even an Earthquake will cause them to fall lol.

Whats this about everyones Preds falling down??? Mine has been out of box on my shelf with no support at all... He has never taken a dive ether if anything Id say his legs and feet are very stiff makiing it hard for him to take a dive...

Had to do that with my NECA 18 inch Alien.. Took some fishing line, hot-glued the two ends together and tacked it to the wall. Worked perfectly, the tack had been loose for a while so I tried taking everything apart and redoing it. That's when I realized that my Alien's joints were loose as hell, couldn't get him back in the badass pose he had been in, legs/arms were falling off, etc.

So I went Hulk on him. :monkey2

Same situation for me, I was blessed with perfect ankles.

Yeah I agree with Capellamusic, i cant do that to the wall

the opposite happens to me, the joints are really really stiff,

one of the feet is so stiff it wont move, the legs are really hard
