NECA 1/4 scale predator

So after seeing what I consider to be a terrible attempt at a 1/4 elder predator, I decided to just grab the masked City Hunter instead, and nabbed him last Thursday from A1 Toys store in the Springburn mall in Glasgow. It doesn't hold a candle to 1/4 Enterbay figures, but that's not surprising, you can't expect that level of fidelity for £75.

No matter what surface I stand him on, or how I pose him he never feels safe to put on a high shelf, so until neca's universal 1/4 stands come out back in the box he will go.

2 of my Predators have fallen, my Iron Man has fallen, and my Endo has fallen.

these things suck for stability.

stands are a must

I've never had a problem with my 1/4 preds falling. Maybe I'm in the minority. I still ordered the elder, yea the paint job doesn't look that great but overall its pretty good.

Inaccurate sculpt and cheap, party inaccurate, paintjob.

I think the Elder is 'pretty good' to customize, but it's definately the most dissapointing 1/4 Pred from Neca. But still, you can take of the cloth on the legs, put on customized straps, repaint the skin (who knows it may not even be needed, we haven't seen any in hand figure yet) change up the 2nd necklace. But still, they could have payed more attention to the details, he even has his knifes intact while they shouldn't be...

Yeah I hope to get the bodies and assessories...so I only need to resculpt the head. hehe

"Pretty good" to me means that I still like how he looks regardless of the inaccuracies. I am not an accuracy snob, so if something looks cool and badass to me, I will buy it. nuff said.

At the end of the day 1/4 Elder and Big Red are likely to sell out. Its one of the better pairings NECA have offered.

I have sold NECA products since day one almost. I have stocked every Predator prduct they have brought out. I found the last 2 sets to be incredibly slow sellers,most customers only want City Hunter masked.

We can not buy these figures individualy they have to be bought in pairs.This is why i'm sure these will sell out as retailers have more faith in this wave.

Big Red may not be from the official films but he is a stand out design and fan favourite.

Is NECA releasing all variants of Dutch in 1/4 scale? Anyone think he will sell faster and stronger than the Predators themselves?

Yes the Hot Toys Elder have a few errors, but the neca elder have errors too. Many errors:

-the pistol is not accurate

-the colors are false(skin tone , dreads and armor)

-the second necklace is false, the Elder have a little different than the P1

-the ruff on the neck is false(the Elder have a P2 ruff)

-the nose is a little bit to short

-the netting on the right lower arm armor is missing

-the netting is not accurate

-the Elder have cobra belt buckles

-squills on his chin and the sides of his jaw are missing

-his belly looks to short, to fat

-the loincloath/croath area is false and the belts to his genital protection are missing

-his ankle looks something strange, to long

-his jaw are to big/long compared to the rest of his head

-his mandibles ae to wide open

...and there never was any "elder" in Predator 2

Damn, this picture looks totally different at the Neca Elder.
Bad irony, normally Neca stands for very accurate Alien and Predaors sculpts, some sculpts are spot on.
