NECA 1/4 scale predator

Yes the Hot Toys Elder have a few errors, but the neca elder have errors too. Many errors:

-the pistol is not accurate

-the colors are false(skin tone , dreads and armor)

-the second necklace is false, the Elder have a little different than the P1

-the ruff on the neck is false(the Elder have a P2 ruff)

-the nose is a little bit to short

-the netting on the right lower arm armor is missing

-the netting is not accurate

-the Elder have cobra belt buckles

-squills on his chin and the sides of his jaw are missing

-his belly looks to short, to fat

-the loincloath/croath area is false and the belts to his genital protection are missing

-his ankle looks something strange, to long

-his jaw are to big/long compared to the rest of his head

-his mandibles ae to wide open

At the most camera settings the elder have a closed or near closed mouth look. That is characteristic for him.

And its not fair to compare the Hot Toys Elder with this. The bodys at this time are very skinny.
But the facesculpt, paintjob and some details are better at the Neca one. And this is disappointing, than normally Necas Predator sculpts are spot on. Compare the City Hunter or the Jungle Hunter with movie pictures and than compare the Elder with movie pictures. The difference is bigger.

No news on the Neca Big Red and Elder yet???

Hi there, I'm new here. The Predators Big Red and Elder in 1/4 scale are starting to show up for pre-order. I saw them at https://www.moviereplicasdirect.com/predators-big-red-elder-1-4th-scale-figures.html. I'm sure other sites will have them soon too. It looks like they are going to be in stock around august.

Ok Rider we get it. You can drop it now. Jesus! Just dont buy it if its not on your "standards".

Despite of inaccuracies, I will still buy it, customizing should be fun on this one.

I don't care for an emerging from the water Predator 1, I would love to see some of the other lost hunters, especially the green one

No. I don't normally post my stuff online, sometimes I do. I just recently started on Predators, my custom are mostly Tranformers figures.

Why Neca must spend so many times of work for there products, when people buy there bad products too ?

Its good for you when you can fixed it, but that is not the sense.

@Xander21, Hot Toys is for me to expensive and normally not so accurate(the new City Hunter for example).

Its pretty ironic.

I ordered my set. I'm going to pick up a second Elder to customize, also.
It sucks NECA ****ed this up.

It says Free Shipping, but when I add to cart it adds a shipping cost. When reading the fine print regarding the Free Shipping, it was Free when order is place between May 1- May 31st. So i am assuming the deal is expired and they haven't changed the website yet. Bummer because that would have saved $20.

Need your opinion friends...

My local collectable store ( I know them) is selling a new closed mouth 1/4 Classic Predator for $80. I passed on these figures when originally release as I was holding out for City Hunter (which I now own). I am on the fence with making the purchase as my display has both 1/4 scale Predator and Alien. Not sure if I should spend the $80 on this or use it for a future Hot Toys purchase. What say you?

I have the 1/4 closed mouth classic and I absolutely love him. His head sculpt is so spot on...every time I look at him, I'm like damn that is P1 right off the screen!

It's a wicked headsculpt, I think the only thing that could bug you is the hips and that they make him alittle shorter than the p2. But he is awesome if you want a 1/4 p1 representin on your shelf!

I actually prefer the hips over P2's because it looks more natural. At this scale it's hard to do dynamic poses anyway.

I ordered the masked version so what I was thinking was taking the Hot Toys 1/4 scale Predator unmasked bust, removing it and modifying the head to fit on the Neca helmeted version body.

They seem to be about the same size. Should be a challange.

Also going to sand down that pesky mold line across the bio, add the necessary weathering and blast marks to the armor and make some minor modifications.

I made some modifications to the predator pictured below and it worked out pretty good so I may give this one a go!
