Finally got this in hand today
. On the whole pretty pleased with it, although the wrist button sticks rather than being "clicky" like the helmet switch and I have to use a small screwdriver to get it to pop back out to turn it off.
The paint app isn't as good as the closed mouth, but is better than the Gort which has really heavy washes over all the armour and very little shading on the chest.
The closed mouth is still my favourite, but this new jungle hunter just made my 3rd place with the masked city hunter in 2nd.
The are 4 loose hoses on the helmet, I can't if this is intentional or they should have the ends glued somewhere. I guess they're like this as the helmet had to be removed to take out the battery tab. The helmet has an ugly wash so may get a repaint in the future. At least the LEDs look even and won't need any modifying.
I've removed the cannon from the closed mouth figure to better represent him later in the movie, and to give each figure it's own presence rather than having one almost a clone of the other.
Now I just need to rearrange my shelves to fit him in amongst the other 8 NECA Predators and Dutch ... looks like Iron Man might have to move out :/

As far as I can see with the new Special Edition, Gort, and closed mouth side by side, they are all the same moulds bar the helmets and the SE opening gauntlet. I can't see any difference in height or in the ratio of body to legs, any that do show in my photos are due to lens distortion and perspective. I did try to take the photo of the three of them together in as close to the same pose as possible.

Got my new 1/4 jungle hunter w/led lights today , simply lov it, someday I hope to have dano's customs to overhaul it and make it 100% film accurate and totally beatutiful.

If you loosen the screw near the elbow joint, the space around the button will increase. You will be able to turn the light on the wrist on and off fine after that.

Loosening it enough to get the switch free means the elbow is loose and won't hold in position. I've found I can twist the armour slightly to get the switch to pop, but to free it properly I'll have to dismantle the elbow completely and add a thin shim, or maybe trim the plastic round the switch a little.

Just got this bad boy through the post today. My first ever 1/4 Predator and I'm impressed.
Though the led on his mask seems to be brighter in one or two places than the other. Is there a way of fixing this to make all three lights consistent? Does it require removing the battery and fiddling with the wires?
It's not a massive deal breaker, just something that could be improved to make it look better.

Same thing with mine. It was because the led wasn't sitting in the correct position between the three holes. I out in a little bit of apoxie sculpt to force it to sit right. I'm sure you could get by with blu tack. Just stick a bit between the wires and the battery box to force the led to remain straight.
