These look absolutely amazing. .. probably the best details, likeness and quality thus far however I hate 1/4 scale figures so I won't be buying these... I really wish this was done in 1/6 scale :-(
Maybe someone else will wise up and make em in that scale. 1/4 is just too big especially when its more then a one off collection like I could understand doing a 1/4 superman or barman... something that could be a nice one off piece that stands alone. .. but something like ninja turtles where you would most likely want all 4 plus possibly splinter and shredar, etc... thats just too big and too much space and just seems like less enjoyable to handle and pose etc. Is it just me?

No not just you. I would have preferred 1/6 however all your talking points - detail, paint, likeness, etc. are the reason I'm getting these not to mention the price tag. If we saw these from Hot Toys, Blizway, whoever they wouldn't only be $100 and that's another reason why I'm sucking it up and not worrying about the 1/4 scale

yeah I get some ppl perfer 1/6. But I love the bigger scale so I'm all for it.. NECA has sated several times they have no attensions of ever going back to 1/6 scale... 1/4 Is thier preferred scale.

I don't mind the scale on these but that comes from me being a TMNT collector. TMNT is and will always be my collecting focal point. I was never one of the ones clammoring for NECA to do them 1/6. I did expect them from another company and at some point I think someone will still do at the 1/6 scale but I won't wind up getting them. These will be the most bang for your buck. Again with turtles being my focal point it doesn't bother me that these guys will stand out from the 1/6 figures I have. I don't even have the intention of displaying them together.

Yeah it's pretty amazing what you're going to get for the price.

Seems to me these are being so highly praised that any of you, especially those who have been Turtles fans your whole lives, really should get these regardless of it being a scale you don't normally collect. You may not see them in smaller scale and even if you do is it such a big waste of money to have bought these? They will grab attention first and foremost. The eye can't help but be drawn to the largest figures and if the prototype quality holds up....dayum.

You could just get the basic iconic Turtles themselves and have them be emblematic for your collection. Meanwhile collect the full range in other smaller formats if you so desire.

Exactly. And given that Donnie has already SOLD OUT twice on BBTS that should be an sign to people that these are gonna sell like crazy.

True. Although I reckon it also means NECA will rerelease at some point. Either the exact same figures or the same figures but with new accessories. A toy company with sense doesn't just let the secondary market get all the money. So I do think these will be seen again a year or two after this initial release is sold out, like Batman 1989.

The point remains though, a Turtles fan should buy these regardless of scale. 1:4 Turtles won't even be all that big. Should be smaller than a human figure of 1:4, yes?

Yeah they will be 16.5 inches so basicly same size as 1/4 Penguin or 1/6 Hulk

To the people who keep saying Ralph . I know you guys are on iPhones lol

My dilemma is to get all four is a big commitment in both space and money. So I keep thinking do I just get my favorite (Mikey) but can you really have just one turtle?????

I have no doubt someone (probably ThreeZero) will make them in 1/6, but they will be at least $200 each and may not even have as good sculpts as these ones do.

I don't collect 1/4, but I am buying these Turtles. It's one of my oldest childhood favourites.

That is exactly true. the only thing quarter scale that I have is the endoskeleton. I'm going to get these regardless because they are part of my childhood is it the only Turtles from movies that I actually like
