NECA 18" ALIEN - stiffness and leg problems with the figure??

I got mine yesterday and the damn thing is so ******* stiff!!!! Honestly what were the guys are NECA thinking when they rolled this mutha out on us??!!!

OK, I snapped off his left foot trying to get the ^^^^ing ankle joint to move. And also I cant get one of his ^^^^ty legs on cos the peg is too ****** wide. WTF, man???!!!! Stoooopid NECA. I'll have to email their ***** and tell them the figure is a pain in the ass...though it looks kinda cool.

Is anyone else having probs with it?

I have to disagree, the cloudy dome is like in the movie and makes the figure look a little larger, with the top not being transparent.


Has anyone else realised that the head of the 18 inch is actually identical to a massive upside down 6 inch erection?

It's not that it's vaguely reminiscent of a john jefferson fifth battalion mess hall fire hydrant, it's like 1:1 in how it bends and in terms of size.

This is a little weird.

Look at the bottom of a Facehugger...you'll find the female equivilent.

Giger's original plan for the Egg was to have an opening that looked almost exactly like a vagina.

But, that was nixed by the studio.

Yes but all the Alien figure incarnations "hint" at the head being phallic. The marmit, medicom, sega and mcfarlane heads all look somewhat "like" a ^^^^^. But the Neca 18 inch looks "precisely" like a 6 inch human erection.

Tankman where are you, settle this will ya, did you use a massive dildo as reference? lol.

I just got mine and my god I cant get the legs on!
So stiff, it goes in a little but thats it no budging. Dont want to force it as it could snap the knee joint.

Its' feast or famine with this figure. I got the parts in no problem, only had stiffness issue with one foot. got that done, pose it in a crouching position that I liked, then the hip joint came loose and cannot stay in a crouched position At this point I am going to crazy glue it in a position I like and leave it. It is great detail and a great figure for the price.

Yeah it does have incredible detail for such a large figure!
I will try hair dyer method later.
Do you heat the pin in the leg or the actual hole on the body?

The hole. The pin needs to be hard to bend the hole to its whim ;-)
