Nice! This should make a nice substitute for the HT power loader. Not to mention it's in perfect scale with the Queen.

Heck I'd put Gorman and Burke on the list but I know there's really no point asking for those, nor the remainder of the marines. Sadly these aren't the Lost Predators, likeness rights would have to be paid for.

Yeah, we'll get a Boddicker, in any scale from any company, before we ever get a Gorman or Burke.

I take it by that you intend to skip the Hot Toys one. I'll likely pass on it myself, if it ever actually comes out. I have their first one and after the initial wow factor it got really annoying when all the hoses broke off and I broke a shoulder joint too - plus it kinda felt pointless having it without an Alien Queen to fight against.

I'll still be worried about the QC on NECA's but it'll be worth it when now we at least have a Queen to go with it.

How is the QC on NECA's ED? Not that one has anything to do with the other, nor could one draw serious and definitive conclusions, I was just curious.

REASON: Most people don't know that it exists because it was in the Directors Cut

Seriously guys try to think of one person that's gone out of their way to collect this line, hasn't seen the Directors Cut of Aliens and wouldn't want the Sentry Guns

I dunno seems a poor excuse to me, its gotta be like at-least 90% of everyone who's buying these figures has seen the DC

...yeah, that seemed a weird thing to say, specially since there are so many Aliens fans (and I mean the second one), the fact that the Special Edition has been around since the early 90s and is widely known, and also the fact that it could simply be included as an accessory to pack with new marine figures, not really a huge deal to do.

Well if memory serves some people had stuck leg extenders but other than that it's been fine. I've never had a problem with mine although I never move anything on it since I found the height that I liked it at. It's a fantastic little ED.

The Powerloader is a bit more worrisome though. A lot more moving parts and those hoses....if they broke on the Hot Toys one I wonder how well NECA's will do.

Yeah, and the Alien 3 assembly cut has been around for a relatively short time compared to the Aliens Special Edition. In fact, the latter version of Aliens has become more the standard release than the theatrical cut. I refuse to believe people haven't seen it, particular not among people who are fan enough to buy these figures.

I think the point is that the sentry guns wouldn't sell well enough to justify the tooling and production costs. That's not what people want to hear, so I imagine Randy has to say something. He gets put on the spot a lot by involving himself in Twitter. It's great for keeping fans informed, but it's probably stressful at times. It's not like he doesn't have other things to do...

That's a fair point and I absolutely praise NECA for keeping fans informed unlike certain other companies.

As for the sentry guns though - I think people had them in mind as pack-ins with certain figures rather than releases by themselves - if that makes any difference. They'd be a cool to have if NECA can find a way. Who knows, maybe they plan to. Sometimes they ''lie'' so as to maintain the element of surprise later.

not only that, but it also was the most hated thing in avp2 when playing for alien. i mean that it's famous far beyond the movie.

Bought 3 of the Black xeno, it's definitely my favourite variation. And feels stronger and is totally unwarped.
I've got several of the brown and Blue, but might eventually swap for one consistent colour, though the blue does go perfectly with the queen.
I wonder if we'll see a black queen?.
