I notice one thing... alien mouth look like Sigourney mouth :rotfl
exactly. and that might not be occasional.
that particular shot is so beautiful.
about 10 years ago i thought A2 was the best, and A1 was not so interesting. an older person who studied them all thoroughly always told me that one day i will see how A2 made alien a lot more primitive. i've understood it only a couple of years ago.

Its dissapointing that its still inaccurate, but can anyone think of a more accurate Alien figure?

Well, as long as you don't go full-'79 purist ''hey Aliens is ***t actually'', then that's alright. :D

Personally I'm not so hung up on getting an accurate one that I will go outside of NECA. But it'd be nice if they could do what I posted last night - separate releases with closed mouth, open mouth, lips and slime for a third variant. That way they can focus on nailing one look at a time.

Yeah that would be nice. But then so many people would complain about the lack of articulation. Cant please everyone I guess.

The Sano statue notwithstanding, I was always partial to the Medicom Alien, which has its faults but unlike other figures comes closest to capturing the sleek and elegant dimensions of the Giger design - particularly the head.

I have the medicom figure myself and I love it! Really captures the look of the creature. It does have accuracy problems though. I would love if they rereleased the sano statue so I could actually find and get it because it is the most perfect sculpt for the alien we have gotten so far.

Well, the mouth of the NECA figure is clearly sculpted and designed to work best open, or at least half open, so it does have a few problems when fully closed.
But I can live with it, it's still the most accurate figure out there.
And I do prefer the Rambaldi ugly functional head to the stunt prop. It looks more vicious.

I think it looks fantastic. A lot of people are comparing pictures and they have to remember the pictures they released may have the jaw down a bit to see the teeth. That changes the look of course...it's about how close they can get and still have articulation. Neca has by far the best alien figures...and I have very little doubt in this figure. When we see how large it is it will be clear it is not a "beak look " the proper lighting will probably show just how clear they are. It's got that purple tinge to them and that is the same color as the dog alien dome...they are probably going to be more clear than we expect. I will be doing subtle repaints on this one, but he is the best posable alien figure to date.
