I was thinking the same thing when I read his tweet but a battle damaged two pack with Celtic instead.

I was going to pass on the AvP Preds but ordered Celtic and Chopper a week ago knowing I wouldn’t be able to pass on the Aliens.

Yeah the AvP queen would require an entire new sculpt. It was a complete redesign. AlienQueen This website does a pretty good job of showing the differences.

Reading that material just helps me soldify how much better designed the Aliens Queen is compared to the AVP Queen. Thanks for sharing the info.

...well, that article is obviously biased and written by an Aliens fan. Even Randy, who hates anything after Aliens, has admitted he likes the AVP Queen design. Hope they do her eventually

Alien 1-3 was done with an art full eye. Logic is what made them so fantastic. Everything was done and none of it was done without it being grounded. After 3 they got carried away and just wanted bigger and more shock. That article made so much sense and logic. I remember walking out of avp laughing with a friend...it was when the predator and girl ran off into the sunlight to save the day.

According to the articulation diagram the claws will be articulated similar to the 1954 so thats probably how he has it posed

You know, going back and looking at the suits used in the movie and even the CGI versions, the Aliens' claws still look huge and long, which is not quite what I'm seeing in that Grid Alien picture. Just the first thing I noticed anyways, and now I can't unsee it. It's like the difference between the Big Chap and Cameron's Warrior. Pretty dramatic.

...well, it seems Grid will come with an undamaged tail at first. If they do release the correct version later, I'm not getting it. I rather just chop the thing myself

I dunno what everyone is so butt hurt about. I wouldn't take a avp figure if given to me but the tail would be the easiest custom to do. Would take 5 minutes.

Given the way Neca managed to neaten up the avp pred designs I would actually be really interested in seeing an AVP queen from them. If they borrow more of the likeness from the ADI puppet and maybe ditch some of the 'rex' features from the CG model it could actually look quite nice.
