NECA: Alien Movie Franchise Figures

I was just going to post that the power loader has switched from pre-order to in stock. I ordered two by mistake.

Update: I just got an email from Forbidden Planet that the item is sold out and they're not getting any more in. I pre-ordered this back in ****ing June, when it was first announced.

Ugh! I feel for you bud. I received one Rupley that came without the tank for the flame-thrower form FP. I ordered another one from them, as in a new order not a replacement. That one turned up with the tank, but with the left arm not attached at the shoulder. I have sent it back to be replaced, but I guess that's not going to happen now?

NECA's quality seems to have slipped back in terms of this wave. For me at least.

Does anyone have the Windrix Marine figure? I've yet to pick it up along with the "whole" Bishop. Is the flame-thrower tank removeable?

I really really like the Alien from the TRU Kenner style Alien vs Predator 2 pack.

There are some stuck joints, but it's OK, I'm not into crazy poses anyway and I'd rather not break the thing.

But I love the deco...the shiny all black dome is awesome. This is the figure I've wanted for years. I was disappointed by McFarlane's take on it about 10 years ago when they did their AvP 2 pack (although that one came with an awesome base.) And then I bought that SH Monsterarts piece of #$%^ing crap last year and it fell apart in my hands. Not to mention it was tiny and the dome was awful.

This one is juuuuust right.

...certainly looks like it. Could it be that series 7 mystery figure is this one? Also, I just love how badass Scar looks, not the lame puppy face look he's got in the movie

Picked up the AvP 2-pack at Toys R Us today. They seem to have let the QC slip a bit on this set. Out of the 3 I saw, 2 of the Preds had like excess glue either on their chest or head, and every one I saw had paint rub from the mandibles messing up the packaging.

As for the Alien, the seam lines on the ones I saw were really prominent and almost jagged in some areas like the torso and hands, and 2 of them I saw had really elongated and broken-looking front teeth, while the one I got had the normal looking teeth as per the previous figure using this sculpt. As well, none of them had the dome sealed correctly all around the head, it like it was barely glued on.

Hopefully we will see a slightly tweaked re-release of the '79 Alien later on...

I saw the same thing at my toys r us today. Riley and the Xenos looked good though
