The new Alien looks exactly like those BTS costume shots. Wonder how the final product will turn out. Paint apps on the first one were okay (you did have to pick and choose in-store to get the best one though), but it was a QC nightmare as far as breakages went.

That's how all of NECA's figures are though. Some have okay paint apps while others are awful.

Well, when you look at their Predator line... none of them are really that good. Some are indeed better than others, but even the best one isn't all that great when you look at NECA's other lines (then again, Predators are more complex characters).

...good God. Now THAT I don't think Hot Toys will make for a long, long time. Hicks, Hudson, and Vasquez in 1/4 would be insta-buys. NECA seem to be doing fine with painting their human figures and the scale-up would only make them better.

Hudson looks great, but Hicks looks not like Biehn.

Just heard that NECA has about twelve 1/4 scale figures to be release next year. I freakin hope that there's a Hulk in that line up, and there's also a good possibility for a Queen Alien.

Hey Timo! Long time no see! I am fine thanky you. Relatively long ago I had to give up my collection sadly, but now I am started the hobby again. I missed it so much! Right now my Kotobukiya Batman vs Joker diorama just arrived and at the end or beggining of the weak my 1/4 City hunter will arrive too, also I preordered the Sideshow PF Batman and eagerly waiting SS and Hot Toys's 1/4 endoskeleton! Anyway agree about the warrior alien. Neca really doing a great job on the two most iconic monster in the film industry. City Hunter in 1/4 turned out miles better than the Jungle Hunter ( I am waiting for the rerelease.) and I am sure the drone from the Aliens will be just as fantastic! How you doing anyway? Is your collection growing? Anyway I am happy to hear from you!

Hope so! I am so glad that Neca is producing these. Also yeah Queen is my dream. These 1/4 figures are almost at Hot Toys quality and the prices are great for them also.

And they must use hidden Joints and the new transculent Plastic.

I hope they make a new, revisted Endoskeltton too.

Man, I'm loving what NECA is doing with the CM's and the aliens! These figures look fantastic. Now I just have to wait until these are released! Spring does look a bit far off...
Hopefully NECA will revisit Giger's alien soon give us A3, A:R and Queen. Maybe one day we'll see the Nostromo crew?

Anyway, congrats to Kyle and all at NECA for such a great job!

They're not going to use that new plastic mainly for aesthetic reasons. I asked them about that on twitter.
