Man, that Alien looks amazing. I can't wait to get my hands on it! I wonder if it a 100% new sculpt, or if parts (like the head, chest) are the same sculpt from the original figure.

:lol I think anyone not loving these "ugly" joints and bad paint apps may be better off saving their $17 for some high priced statues... :dunno

This...

Those look amazing. But seriously NECA if you're going the route of superarticulated figures you NEED to stay on top of the QC. Theres no point putting in all this articulation if we end up having to turn them into statues anyway because they all broke.

this...

Randy's bull**** teasers weren't doing it for me.

...and this. The figures look great and as far as Beihn goes, he could've turned out a lot worse. I'm amazed they got as much of the likeness through as they did, assuming he's still stingy with his rights. If NECA paints these as well as they did Evil Dead, we're in business. Bring on the 1/4 versions though, those are the only ones I want.

I will say that the Alien Warrior's knees look like a massive hotspot for QC issues.

I am tired of people *****ing and moaning about joints showing. These are ****ing $20 dollar ACTION FIGURES. If you want to pose them, they're going to have joints. Not sure what you people are expecting.

Man, and I think the joints on these are very well hidden/neatly placed for what they are.

And I agree a-dev.

Moaning? I am talking about mainly in 1/4 scale. I don't care at all about the 6 inch figures. Never did, never will. The Predators in 1/4 have problems standing on their own and this has much more joints then at the hunters. So yeah it will be a problem because I am absolutely sure that Neca will release it in 1/4 and than it will fall left and right because of the articulation. Also I never moaned at the preds(They are fine.) but IMO they are just too many joints at the warrior alien and they are distracting. If you don't like it or tired of my opinion than skip or ignore my post dude. I don't give a Jack Rabbit about it. We don't have to agree with each other. Also I don't think it's nessesery to have that many joints anyway.

My comments weren't directed at you, but the whiners in general.

NECA has pretty bad QC, I'm not denying that. It's just the "the joints are too visible omg they look horrible" complaints that irritate me. Figures have joints. Joints will be visible. If you don't want visible joints, get a statue.

Hell, NECA's predator figure joints are more concealed than some of Hot Toys'.

Hicks', Hudson's and the warrior's joints look amazing. They're perfectly blended into the sculpt. The durability of these figures is an entirely different discussion.

Really can't wait for these. My first NECA series where I will pick up every figure in the series. Too bad TRU won't have them until 3 months after release though. -_-

Whatever about the human figures, I can't understand criticising the joints in the Alien. They blend into the bio-mechanical creature design pretty well. :dunno

It's an action figure. It's got to have joints. The alien looks fine. The marines look fine except for the toe joints. This I don't understand. Downgrades the sculpt quality and appearance in my opinion. Neca has never done this with human based characters, why start with these?

I know, I like it anyway, but where it is possible you should avoid these unaesthetic balls.

I do not like this Revoltech:

Would be nice if NECA did two versions of his characters: one for play and one that looks like a statue :wink1:

Well it is not that bad I agree. But it is a little too much for my taste. Mine main issue will be with the stability however. Actually I don't like the joints under the chest( And at the feet it is totally unnecessary and ugly.)I can do without it, but we will se how this will turn out at 1/4. Don't get me wrong I really like Neca 1/4 scale preds. IMO they are the best and I would chose the Neca 1/4 City Hunter over any Hot Toys Predator in a second and without thinking, but I have to see more photos first about the alien warrior. I trully hope they will convince me because I want to buy it but it will depends...

No problemo.

I don't have problem with joints except if there are just too many of them. Like I said the preds are perfect but on this one it is a little bit too much for my taste.

I think the joints look fine on the Warrior Alien, they seem to blend into the sculpt to me. And as far as QC goes, since series 3 of the Preds, NECA's figures haven't had any major breakages or QC issues, so I think we willl not have to worry about the limbs snapping off on these ones.

I can't wait to see some of the poses we can put it in. The joints look like it can be put in some pretty insane positions. Hopefully it can do a "Wall Crawling" pose!

Wow! These look badass. Hicks looks better than their Reese, but something is still off.

We see it only with more pics, but the ellbow looks to long and big, the joint must more inside the upper arm, like the previous Alien Warrior.

I'm afraid ugly joints on the hips neck and belly, that we not se on this pictures.

@Evil_Ash, action figures do not have many joints. That can not be said in general. Look at many many other action figures like Necas Cult Classic Army of Darkness Line, the Hellraiser Line, the Gremlins, Nightmare on Elm Street, Machete, Sin City, the Crow, Harry Potter, 300, Scarface, Jonah Hex, Beetlejuice, Pirates of the Caribbean, Conan the Babarian,Terminator and Terminator 2, Mcfarlane Terminator 3, etc.

The arms of the Marines looks a bit too tiny and the biceps joint of Hicks dont look fine. The joints are bigger problems on ther new figures like Rocky, Dutch and Rambo(hip joints and chest joint).
It would be cool if Neca make two sorts of figures.

Figures for the friends of joints and figures for the enemys of joints(with cool bases), ore Mini Statues like the He-Man Line.
For me, the overall look is important

@Lord Freezer, I agree fully with your points.
