NECA seems to really be getting into the life-size foam replica stuff now, I just saw this: NECA Life Size Arkham Knight Batman Foam Replica - The Toyark - News

Based on the price of the egg, there is no way that it under at least $1500. and it ships in two separate boxes, so be prepared to pay double the shipping price.

I'd be afraid that being made out of foam and latex it would deteriorate easily. I could just see it rotting or getting nips out of it from insects, the exterior start to wrinkle and crack, or my dog biting a big chunk out of it.

I think everyone is thinking too deep into this, Neca has done a life size stuff before. I think it's a specialty item and it's limited . They know us guys that are buying 20$ figures are not interested in this. But there is that one guy in a group that is and has more money then I have. So to that random collector tip of the hat to u good sir

But why isolate yourself from the fan base by making something one or two people might get? I would think they could make way more money on the figures. And TBH, the egg looks MEDIOCRE at best. Like others have said; a cheap Halloween prop. Terrible idea from NECA.

...they are already making figures lots of thrm. And how they isolate the fan base? They're putting out stuff from the comics. I don't care for that, but that doesn't mean they're isolating anyone. You can't please everybody...

If it's more satisfying to imagine I fumed over my keyboard while typing that post, feel free. Truth be told, I didn't. And I don't have a problem with the egg, nor do I feel entitled to having certain items manufactured; NECA doesn't owe me a thing.
I do, however, take issue with the lip service NECA has previously paid fans after seeing these recent lifesize announcements. Being straight with the customers would be nice, especially since they've made the [according to their past statements] unlikely decision to break into an especially niche market with even nichier prices for shoddy quality products. And, as others have said, this is foam latex -- don't expect a lengthy shelf life. Not exactly consistent with their logic of wanting to avoid high production costs. Hell, I don't even buy into the "we're switching to a new factory" stuff half the time. Just words, really.

I haven't forgotten about the $300 Hulk they want to release either. Lord knows I don't have a problem paying that kind of money for a Hot Toys product (most of us here don't), but this isn't one.

I agree , it looks cheap. But there has been no slow down with figures. We haven't had a gap

Seriously though, you guys should lighten up a bit and stop complaining about what a "toy" company does unless it really affects you, and I doubt a huge and expensive piece of foam that is clearly directed to a minority of collectors will do that. I doubt NECA will stop making 7" figures because of that. Again, smiles dudes! [emoji4]

My complaint about the egg is that it just looks terrible. That sculpt is a blown up version of their 1/4 egg. Same with the batman life size. Foam latex will probably rot. Yeah I don't see it going well. Their previous life size gremlins were not foam latex as far as I remember. Yeah bad idea neca

Also, apparently the Genocide Queen is out now for all of you lucky people in the US. Cejaman has her, but hasn't done the review yet. I'd expect that to drop either tomorrow or the next day. He showed her in the package, and even though she's essentially a repaint, she does look gorgeous...

...I'll wait for a better reviewer video, but yeah, she does looks gorgeous, too bad I don't plan to go into comic based Alien figures

Yes, those belong to the Cinemamachine line they are making. They are larger than MicroMachines, but not in scale with the regular figures (obviously )
