Ok so...as soon as I saw neca had the translucent big chap the first thing that came to mind was the giger original concept for the alien3...before the studio messed up the relationship. So I posted it and asked Randy...well he liked it soooo maybe it will happen ? What do you guys think ?

Ok so...as soon as I saw neca had the translucent big chap the first thing that came to mind was the giger original concept for the alien3...before the studio messed up the relationship. So I posted it and asked Randy...well he liked it soooo maybe it will happen ? What do you guys think ?

I think 'not a snow ball's chance'. Not because it's a bad idea, but because NECA would never sculpt then tool it. The concept big chap only exists because they didn't have to do anything and turned that mold into yet another figure. All the profit without any investment.

Edit: but I guess they will sculpt kenner aliens soon...so maybe?

I can't find the tweet, but I'm pretty sure I read a tweet where Randy has said that they do have another concept figure for the aliens line already planned. Even though it would be a new sculpt, the Dog alien did so well and was such a great seller I can see them thinking it is worth the investment to sculpt a new figure.

And like bigbisont said, they will be making the Kenner Aliens soon, and while some could be made by altering existing sculpts, there are definitely others that would have to be a new sculpt as using existing parts would not work. So, if they are investing that much work into a Kenner homage, I could see them investing the money into a concept figure.

Aside from maybe the albino Aliens from the Aliens novelization, or maybe a concept art Colonial Marine, I can't really think of any other concept figure they could do aside from the Giger Alien3 Xeno. Of course, he could be referring to them making a concept figure from another toy line, but hopefully he is talking about Aliens. Fingers crossed!

I received my damaged Neca Queen from the BBTS Ebay store for $45 shipped today and the only thing wrong with it was the clear end of the stand was broke. I came up with a temporary solution to hold the beast and who said the McFarlane Hicks was useless, I used the stand and helmets for the Neca Hicks series 1 and for Sgt Windrix - just took a little bit of work and patience. What do you guys think? I just got into this line and I'm waiting on my Hicks & Hudson 2 packs, Ripley and the Power loader before I'm caught up.

Great idea. I hope he'll get endorsement from gigers museum. They definitely in need of some affordable souvenirs. They lack materials for english-speaking audience mostly it's just art books in german >___<

I think the chances of this happening are pretty good actually. Not any time soon but if the transparent alien does well enough for them to consider more concept this one will be high on the list.

They can get some reuse out of the body too as it would work better than the dog on some of the Kenner stuff. The Panther /Cougar Alien look very similar to the concept A3.

Would love to see the original Giger creature concept figure too.
