And if you want to keep the figure in that position? I would like to expose my Alien next to my SS bust, do you think that if we leave it in one position, it will finish to break? And also with the mouth which is the normal position in that figure if we want to leave it always in the same position?

If you just want to leave it in one position I would think It would be fine. My Warrior Alien has been in the same crouching position since the day I got it (back when it was first released) and aside from the stretching of the rubber, there is no tearing or other damage that I can see. Now again, this is the smaller figure, and the larger figure may form tears in the rubber over time, but from what I have seen so far with the 7" one, it looks like it should be OK.

As far as the mouth goes it should be totally fine regardless of what position you put it in, The actual jaw is made out of the same durable plastic material as the rest of the body and should not deform, and the mouth tendons and lips are basically just attached to them and not being stretched or rubbed against when the jaw is moved or in a stationary position, so it should be totally fine unless you over-extend the jaw and leave it that way. As long as you move it and leave it within it's movement range, it should be fine.

Thank you very much!could you recommend any stand to display this figure? Where can I buy it?:)

I don't have a stand, but I know that earlier in the thread jaklynfiorhollyw recommended the Kaiser doll stand. They have them on amazon for pretty cheap. I would recommend this one, it's in black and it's big enough to hold the figure; Amazon.com: Kaiser Doll Stand 3075 - Black Doll Stand for 16" to 26" Fashion Dolls: Toys & Games

If you don't want to order from Amazon, you could try an arts and crafts or collectibles store.

Thanks Jace! I was triying to find the stand from jaklyn but better like this:))thsnks again;)

The rubber material on my New Ripley came warped right out of the package. It doesn't bounce back. So, not sure how I'll pose the big guy. Thanks for the comments.

Hi kaklyn! Could you explain a litle bit how did you paint your alien? Could you post some pictures about the gloss and the way you have painted it? You applied also gloss to the lips?I like the texture they have...is more...organic:) in other photos I see them like if they are sticked to the figure and in yours it seems they are part from the figure...I dont know if you know what I means...may be is because os the flash in somw photos...I can wait to receive mine:)
So what you will get in those colors is the grey and the copper bronze. Mix the two together to get a subtle brown grey. That's the color I'm using. Black for details but usually I add in a little grey yo it's not flat black. The triple thick glaze is fantastic. You can do a thin layer for gloss effect. And if you do tiny globs you can fill in gaps and everything. Don't forget to get thinner for the paint. It makes it like a wash. But don't thin it too much it will run. uploadfromtaptalk1450831998681.jpg

Yep I painted the lips with a wash at the base. Left the end with no paint. But a thin layer of gloss. Just remember don't go over and over with gloss till it's dry. It will fill in gaps so go thin , unless you want it to.

Thanks again and sorry for my english:)What do you mean with "a wash at the base"?your alien figure is stunning! I will get the shorter lips version but with your pictures I really doubted until the end! Lol
I will try to give my alien the same look than yours...it is very organic as I told you before. Congratulations! Bravo!:clap

Got a cheap stand from hobby lobby and put him in this pose for now, looks cool I'm sure I'll switch it up after a while but now this works

The base of the lips is darker. So I painted a wash so it was light and still see through

Also I love the pliable rubber alien butt so I can hide my stand waist grabber under it. Not completely hidden but you have to look for it so on display you can't even tell

Great pose! I would prefer the one from the page 933 I think...just the way the head and the mouth looks...great idea with the stand! I will copy you:lol.

Thanks jaklyn for your explanation too. If it is not dificult, I will try to paint mine as well:)

I really wish he had a bit more forward movement in the ankles, so he could crouch bit better, or stand with the knees bent more.
