The Terminator figures are much less articulated than the Marines.

Here's the accessory list for the series 1 marines.

Hicks: pulse rifle, welder, shotgun, and holster
Hudson: pulse rifle, welder, motion tracker, and shoulder lamp

Poor Accessories, an extra Egg with Chesbuster or Facehugger like the Mcfarlane Versions were cool.

People are going to jump on you but I do agree. I hardly count welders, shoulder lamps and holsters as accessories. And that leaves just the guns. Very barebones IMO.

However everything else looks excellent, love the sculpts and the fact we won't be limited to one pose. Why McFarlane bothered with any articulation at all on their Hicks figure was a wonder - what they did put in was so useless.

Wait and see how good is the quality of the final product in person.
I`m sceptical.

Hudson looks very nice, one of the best sculpts in necas history, but Hicks looks not 100% like Biehn, I can not see the actor in this figure.

To the articulation, on Hudson the joints are invisbile, but on Hicks you see the joints on the arms(and we have luck that the armor hide the hipjoints).

The pose on the diorama is the perfect marine pose, what pose is better ? It looked like the Mcfarlane pose.

To the accesorries, there is no logical reason that people jump on me. Accessories are very important and neca make very nice accessorries in the past.

I hope the dioramas sell well and neca makes more stuff like this.
Accesorry sets for 7" and 18" were good solutions.

And..? What does that have to do with including a second headsculpt?:dunno

As a-dev said, things like shoulder lamps and holsters aren't "real" accessories.

I`m really satiesfied with the articulation on the terminator figures.

This looks very realistic and arnold make no extreme poses in the movies.
He walk, kill, walk and kill^^

My only problem with this was the bad QC/paintjob.

more articulation = more parts = cost more to make

They could fit it into the budget for the Terminator figures.

Variants are one way to recoup costs for making the line. NECA has been doing this for years and it doesn't look like they're going to stop anytime soon.

So it has everything do do with it. :wink1:

:lol What? They're still accessories.

Yeah, Im sure these cost SO MUCH MORE to make. If NECA included a second headsculpt with these they'd be losing thousands of dollars. It's plastic.:wink1:

You would consider a gun holster an accessory? :lol

They should've just made the helmet one's first. That's what they had during most of the first half of the film.

From NECA's Twitter...getting ready for ToyFair.

Looking good! Toy Fair is almost here! :clap

+1

I'm just thrilled that anyone is doing figures of the movies I grew up loving and doing them so well. And I honestly couldn't care less that they're reusing the same pieces here and there.

I've been a huge NECA fan since they started kicking *** with the Hellraiser line.

I loved their Hellraiser line! I completely agree! :rock

OK, I admit I took the "too easy" shot at the "big corperation" out of frustration, and I can see how that angle is pretty played out. My bad.

BUT:

- I didnt say "they" should make me feel better. I was anticipating a peer response to my gripe along the lines of "well hopefully they will be in series 2" and I wanted to get a jump on it.

- I never said I wasn't going to get over it, nor did I say I wouldnt take whatever they give me. That doesn't mean my #1 complaint is baseless. Its MacFarlane Hicks-helmet-gate part 2! Better sculpts don't make it any less disappointing to me!

- And finally as far as things "getting old", the 'shut-up-and-be-happy-you-get-anything' argument is one I wouldn't mind never hearing again. Logic like that would leave only butt-kissing and silence (and no improvements).

- I never complained about re-using "pieces here and there". I complained about having to buy the exact same figure twice in order to get a single accessory that the character (Hudson) wore 98% of the time he was on screen. That, in my opinion, is excessive.

What can I say? I hope the Toy Fair reveals make me look foolish. Nothing would make me happier than to see I got all riled up for nothing.

No worries bud, I wasn't referring to your comment(s). Didn't even see them. Heh.

It's understandably frustrating though, when you have to buy double of something to get all the accessories you want.

Then go complain to NECA on Twitter. But they'll just tell you something similar.

Im not even complaining. I would just prefer to have a second headsculpt with these figures instead of variants, since the accessories are pretty minimal.

I don't mind the variants. I really don't. What bothers me is the fact that they aren't releasing together.

The time of release for this sucks in my opinion. Colonial Marines is coming out Tuesday, so it would be awesome to have figures to go with it. It's not a big deal, just what I think.
