Really disappointed after yesterday, we already knew we were getting Newt and then we get hit with the exclusive bombshell, what an anti climax, hope there is a way for collectors outside of the States to get hold of her, otherwise it's a real kick in the teeth.
Rubbish day.
Yip. Dissapointing indeed. Time to shell out a heap of money to try find a Newt figure in the UK. Thanks Neca.

I said this earlier today and I agree with you completely. Quoted my post below explaining why I agree.

This further solidifies the situation. As many fans as there are. There are not as many as you think. And not all of them are collectors at that.

Is it frustrating that Newt might be an SDCC exclusive? Yes. But does it make sense business wise? More or less, yes. That being said, I expect this one to be released in bigger numbers than you think.

Excellently written! Glad we're in agreement!

Stories floating around that at the Alien Day screening in LA (Where Henn, Goldstein, and Ricco Ross were in attendance) during a Q&A period, all 3 confirmed they had figures in development. Seems Frost is on deck.

And whoo-wee Vaz is looking good

Man that is great news, was hoping Frost would be on the ready line at some point. I said it after I saw the Vas teaser yesterday, she is looking like the best Neca figure to date imo and from what I can see of the headgear and head in the pic above nothing is making me think otherwise.

This picture posted today, is better than all of alien day yesterday. I think more appropriate than calling it "alien day" is calling it Tuesday.

Neca did say the full reveal of Vas will be this week right? I thought I read that so even though I was a little underwhelmed yesterday, when I got home and saw the teaser of Vas my excitement level went up a couple notches. I hope talk of a Frost being made comes to light since he was one of my Favorites and we all now Drake is a strong possibility so at the very least this year could be epic.

Looks good. Although I'm wondering would swap-out pre-posed arms have been a better option for using the smartgun. Sometimes articulation just can't quite manage it and I think this might be one of those times.

I'll grab a newt if I see one, but I'm not going to go out of my way. It cost me over £50 just to get ONE of last years exclusive Apes figures, and newt just isn't worth that to me.

Tweet: "any plans on a Brett figure from alien?
Neca: "Not Currently"

That's kind of an interesting reply, why? Because for once it wasn't the usual reply of "not part of our license" or "don't have the likeness rights"

Does this mean that Brett was always in Neca's origional licence?

Does it mean they have obtained Stanton's likeness?

Or is it just that Randy's telling us they simply might pursue making a Brett figure one day wether they currently have the rights or not. (although we never even get this reply for Vasquez, always was "not part of the license" untill it was actually revealed. So why would this be the case for Brett?

Might have to scale back my plans depending on how expensive it ends up being to get her. I will get her one way or another.

Unfortunately if they make T2 John Connor and he ends up being an exclusive too I'm going to have problems because I really want a bunch of him.

I think it is Randy coming to the realization that human characters are a vital part of the line. You can only repaint and tweak the same canon alien creatures so many times before you have to face the reality that humans are important too.

Maybe he has seen the light that 'new' human figures ARE in demand and he is refusing to rule anything out.

(Could just be overly optimistic, though. It happens often...)

I think NECA will make as many human characters as they can. My optimism is in their desire to give us everyone - the only obstacle, as ever, is money.

And...never mind. No "new" outlook on life after all.
A softened 'hard line' perhaps..., but same old mindset is still in place.

But it's much different than the usual - Not going to happen, no chance, not by us or no licensing lines:)

So your telling me there's a chance - lol

He pretty much just wants us to temper our expectations about what they actually can make. I understand it, I'm OK with it. It's a heck of a lot better than McFarlane ever did and how Hot Toys is doing.
