NECA: Alien Movie Franchise Figures

I found the first picture I've seen of the A3 Ripley in package so far, it looks really cool. I hope at some point Neca makes a Ripley in bomber jacket similar to this but with arms for the full blue jumpsuit and for the jacket look. It would be really smart on their end 1 figure 2 looks and people would buy multiples to have both looks. As smart and efficient as they are with their sculpts I would guarantee they make the Aliens version like this at some point.

I hope at some point Neca makes a Ripley in bomber jacket with removable arms that are the full blue jumper she wore underneath. and we could have 2 versions of Ripley. I mean a lot of people would buy 2 so they could have both looks from the film and Neca just has to release 1 Ripley. Win- win?

Yeah, that would definitely be the way to make the figure.

Do the arms on the Marines look similar to the A3 Ripley in that you can just pull them out like this figure is made?

Kind of. They do pull out like that, but the ...knob?...is bigger. They need to be heated and softened in order to pull them out.

Really excited to see how they make her available! Will she be part of a 2 pack or still on a single card, will she still come her all her accessories or will we lose something?.

As far as i'm concerned aren't we just simply on about the Newt SDCC exclusive? that's what everyone is asking about right? how to get it if you're not attending the Con?

And that's where Randy is saying "I have a Plan, and I will find a way to get Newt outside the US, have faith and patience. I won't let you down"

So why is everyone talking about two-packs and other releases, When it's all about the SDCC Newt? Or am I taking it too literal?

A leather jacket Ripley and Newt two pack was always the way to go from the start, so i'm not saying that will never happen.... cause it seems obvious. But they clearly didn't go this route, they want it to be limited so they can get more $ out of each Newt sale & doesn't end up peg warming on retail shelves. I don't think they are going to go back on this. They would also need to create a new mold for the clamshell packaging if they remove a accessory, not sure if that's a big deal or not but it's definitely something they would have to do.

If we get Newt out of US / out of SDCC then I reckon it will be the same Newt (without the con sticker), which means it will still be very limited...

anyway regarding any of us obtaining a Newt I think Ash summed it up pretty well...

"I can't lie to you about your chances, but... you have my sympathies"

Not as bad as you might think. It took heat to soften everything up enough to get them out, but when they cooled they were no worse for wear. I don't have any figures that wont hold a pose.

It's going to be interesting to see what they can do. I hope the figure comes with everything the sdcc came with minus the sticker but I'll take whatever they give us.

I'm guessing that the two pack idea with the bomber jacket Ripley seems to be the most popular bet, followed by maybe just a single pack reissue minus one or two of the accessories. If they had to cut something to still make the SDCC version more unique my money would be on the marine helmet. Its cool and unique but only appears briefly in one scene and not truly important to Newt overall.

She looks pretty okay there, but looking head on the bald head kind of throws off the face a bit I agree. Do love the sleeveless option and the torch accessory she comes with.

My only complaint really with the Alien 3 Ripley is that she does not come with a EEV recovery swap out head with the hair from Aliens and the bloodshot eye.

Unless something changes its pretty clear at this point that the only way to get the exclusive Newt is to do the pre-order and pick her up at the con or pay eBay scalper prices.

But with Randy saying that he has a plan B to make her available outside of the con, that started discussions of what accessories that she would come with and the possibility of a two pack.

Randy has said before that they are still doing a Resurrection wave consisting of Ripley 8, Newborn and a Warrior Drone. Whether or not they do more than that from the fourth film is not certain.
