NECA: Alien Movie Franchise Figures

I have no doubt "anything is possible" regarding any and all creatures. Since they have just about milked their latest 4 screen accurate designs dry (18 figures from 4 molds!) they pretty much have to be ready to get wild and crazy and pull stuff out of their rear end if they expect to keep creatures in every wave. I'm sure they will get quite creative.

Thats whats got me excited for the Kenner wave coming up with their more animal designs. Given how creative their sculptors can be, having a more free reign of their design instead of a strictly humanoid shape would make the Kenner designs much more unique and interesting to see. The Gorilla and Snake designs would be cool to see Neca tackle.

Yea, it sounds like he's got a plan for getting us Newt and earlier today he made it seem like the Loot Crate exclusive GITD eggs might be available to us down the road. They just don't want to talk about their plans until after the SDCC because of the exclusive Newt being tied to the Con. I imagine if they revealed their plan before the Con to release Newt in bigger numbers the people who run the SDCC might not be happy about that. I can wait, just hoping all who want her can get her without paying scalper prices like I did. I bought one thinking the version Neca gets out later may not have all the accessories the exclusive version came with. Of course I'm also wanting to get another Newt later through them as well.

Thats true. They want the sdcc version to sell well so they wont just announce another chance to get Newt at the same time. Smart business sense that way.

Man, this NECA panel this year at SDCC will be one of the better ones they have done in a while I reckon. So much interesting things to see and look forward to not only for Aliens, but also TMNT and so on.

Lol I am still surprised though how often the Resurrection figure question keeps cropping up though, especially with the Newborn. Given how a majority of the fanbase seems to hate that movie the popularity of the creature is kind of surprising.

Me personally I think the Resurrection line will add a much more......grotesque design to the mix and something Neca can really play to their strengths with. I want the newborn to tower over Ripley 8 so I can recreate their scene together at the end of the film in the hanger bay. it's so creepy yet so motherly.

1) stealing a creature from another movie
2) turning an alien's design into flesh/guts design
3) saying that this is much better than original design
take your pick because all three happened when those two morons decided they could do something by themselves.

H.R. Giger was involved in to the Design of the Alien 3 Concept.

He give the Alien the Erotic Lip :-*
and removed the tubes of the Back.

So the alien was respectfully to the original concept created, i had to be different, cause it hatches from a dog.

Oh trust me, I'm for the original Space Jockey, not the giant baby in Prometheus.

Kind of wish they would have left the cgi-Fifield cut in that movie rather than the human with make-up version.

I picked up the NECA Alien derelict ship at my LCBS and it was missing the part of the ship that juts out on the left side. I finally got my replacement today and the metal bits inside are completely loose and it sounds like a baby rattle. I might try to squeeze some glue through the peg hole and see if that stops the rattle.
