Ripley just arrived. Aside from the hands being stuck its an awesome figure. I had to order my Commandos elsewhere because they were sold out but looking forward to those!
Mumbai. I sold the figure the moment i posted the pics here. Bought the Revoltech Alien Warrior which looks like a kid in front of the NECA
The revoltech is based on the Aliens movie.

The rest of the tweet chain was people speculating that it was Bomber Jacket Ripley and the possibility of a two pack with Newt.
I really hope that 2 pack happens!

I think Bomber Jacket Ripley and Newt is pretty likely. It would justify the production of new molds for Newt.

Agreed. The bomber jacket version has been speculated about for a while now, plus Randy keeps hinting that there will be a retail version of Newt coming up soon but cannot say anything as of yet. I bet after SDCC we may get the two pack announcement or at the con itself the bomber jacket Ripley may be revealed.

...he never said there was going to be a retail version of Newt. If anything he always says Newt wouldn't work in retail. He said he had a "plan."
Since apparently series 12 is Alien: Resurrection he might actually be taking about that Ripley

Sigh... I really want Newt but its already in the 70-80 euro range on ebay. I wonder if more will be made, as Randy has hinted at...
I don't preorder on ebay anyway so I never even looked at those. Hoping and praying there's another way.

Yeah, I never thought Newt would be made, and I never realised how badly I'd want that figure. It's ridiculous not to make an important character easily available, you're just creating a scalper frenzy. I need to believe Neca will sort something out.

Maybe it's too late for Newt at retail, but a lot of us are anticipating a John Connor too. Assuming John won't work at retail either, why can't figures like these be Neca website exclusives? Why do they HAVE to be tied to a show? Sorry if that has been answered somewhere along the way. If the answer is that the show hypes the figure and allows them to sell enough to have it make sense to produce, then you know what, don't produce it at all. The fans are getting ripped off because they are not the ones getting them. It's profiteers and people who want to pay for their entire show vacation that are buying all the show exclusives.
I don't think it's too late. I wrote Randy couple of tweets saying that I'm ok with paying for Newt, but I refuse to pay a scalper. Its free money for ur company, just provide me with an opportunity to give them to you, It's that simple.
Given the answers that we received so far I'm fairly positive about the outcome.
All things come to those who wait, right? If it's not for you, well.. you can always encorage scalpers by paying for their sdcc trip.
