To keeps the fans happy and buying just make Vasquez and Drake with their smart guns. Alien queen would be nice but the Mcfarlane one was very good. Just give us some marines.

No. It'll still look good to me because I don't live in a world where the new has to over take the old.

Both will sit nicely on my shelf as two pieces in two different points in time.

Thats fine, I can appreciate collecting a 'history' of toys of the same subject matter. However if one is after accuracy - then NECAs will indeed be 'better'.

I think the McF Queen was good for the fact that its the cheapest Queen on a scale larger then 4"!
All the other ones are tiny.
So if you wanted a larger scale you would need to get a model kit or a statue.

The size of her in those old pics from Kyle is perfect I think for the price range. Looks bigger then the 1/12 Halycon kit. Hope the actual retail version is that size.

Ive made this point on the predator thread, and I think its just as valid for the Aliens. Its great to have a super-accurate specific example from the movie. Its great. But do you want "that specific character from that specific movie"? Or do you want an awesome example of a species?

I look at the McFarlane queen like "A very cool Queen". NOT "A so-so copy of the queen that fought Ripley". No two things are 100% identical in nature and no reason another queen at another hive might not look like the McFarlane queen. Plenty of room for both on my shelf with no favoritism toward either for me.

Got mine for $35 shipped and it was sealed for that price I'm happy with that one.

I do want an accurate upgrade... do we have an idea on price yet?

Where's the best (read: cheapest) place to buy NECA figures of any kind? I saw the Rocky 2 packs for 30 bucks at Toys R Us. Wasn't sure that was good or not for NECA.

hmmm for $50 I'd get 2

I'd get a red one too to help pave the way for a power loader lol.

If they can do Ed-209 hopefully they can do the power loader.

Gamestop posted the series one Aliens figures online for 19.95 a pop. I know I can 'pre-order' the trio at various online toy stores for $65 a set.

If they end up at Toys R US for $16 each (or the two packs for $30) I'll be pleased as punch. I'm not sure you will find them cheaper.

without question, toys r us (brick and mortar stores or TRU.com) has the best prices on neca figures. Currently, prometheus series 1 figures are 12.99 each. The engineer/trilobite 2pack is 19.99 a pop, and series 2 figures are 15.99 a pop. You arent going to find anywhere that has better prices.
The biggest issues with T.R.U. are their lack of knowledge concerning their products and the fact that it takes them several weeks to a month longer than most retailers to shelve new products.

I'm sure they'll be 15.99 at tru, which ill gladly pay unless I can score em at frank and sons!

This new alien sculpt is so sweet, I'm not gonna delude myself.. I know I'll buy every silly variation they release with a smile. Of course that goes for the marines too
