I am definitely buying the Queen. I just know NECA wouldn't ever make a base. Or they will but charge extra for it.

This pic was making the rounds years ago, even before NECA started working on the Alien figure.

But, it does show what we can expect to see from Kyle when it comes time to start sculpting the actual Queen action figure.

They're running a business, man. Variants help pave the way for figs like the Queen and ED-209. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

same thing on Facebook. gets kind of ridiculous. People are raving for Yugioh. Like, seriously?

What annoys me are fans that see a company regularly releasing long-desired figures and moaning about the more obscure (but totally accurate) varients they also make to re-use sculpts.

Seriously, what's wrong with releasing repaints and kit-bashes for profit if it makes some fans happy? It's not at the expense of other figures, you don't have to buy them, and some people really enjoy them.

Then Randy will say no one is interested in the figures so why bother making more.

well thats your opinion on what is good and what isnt , you might think some figures will sale good while others think some other design will sale good its win/win spreading out their branches and how if you mean whats wrong with comic book aliens? repaints pave the way for more improvement and designs for the lines.
P.S. i dont buy many aliens just about one of each(sometimes two but way later) unlike the predators which i more more of having new colors for aliens is alway welcomed it makes it easier for me to stomach more aliens and not feel bored buying the same basic one.

Beyond the black "warrior", the "genocide" 2 pack doesnt interest me. Having said that, i dont care if they put the thing out or not. I think sales for this line will be very strong. Way too excited about series 1 and 2 to get upset about the relatively weak (imo) "genocide" 2pack. Ill buy 1 just to have the black Alien warrior.

I think that is where the disconnect occurs. Some fans think that these repaints ARE in place of a new figure. They feel slighted that the repaint got the slot where something new 'could have been'. They don't realize the 'new' figure is going to come when/if it comes regardless of which repaints surround it.

But, despite my level headed stance right now, I'll have my hypocrisy reaching new levels if series 2 (of the single figure releases) includes any repaints! I'll probably be *****ing about how that slot should have gone to an original figure!
