Think what you will.

Well there has been whispers of Burke. Not a marine but a more than welcome addition nonetheless

one things for sure, if they do release him I sure as hell won't pre order it from Toy Wiz....nada update on shipping for my Vaz....

Some mess around his hairline on one side of his forehead, a sideburn that missed the sculpted hair area, a dot of hair paint below his nose and paint scratched off around his mouth. Believe it or not I guess it could be worse. At least his eyes are OK, if anything I thought those would be ****ed.

My other Frost complaint, and this is something I was worried about from the earliest pics, the hand-sculpt they've been using for the male marines just isn't suited to aiming the flamethrower. There's a pic on the packaging where he appears to be aiming it but you can tell that the trigger hand isn't actually holding the handle properly - so that's another fall-down area of NECA, they don't provide a good enough range of hands.

So, some disappointment here although I'm still thankful to be getting these at all and they still look pretty cool when you don't examine Frost up close. Vasquez's short leg issue, though becoming ****ing annoying in its ubiquity, can at least be disguised with the pose most of us will go for.

Crap. Looks like this is another wave I will just wait till I see it in hand at Minotaur and then sort through the ones they get in to see which one will be the least screwed up. I know its probably cheaper for me to just order the whole wave in one hit from an online store, but with the QC issues popping up lately with their smaller figures it looks like I am back to having to visually see it before I buy it.

It may seem a bit extreme but when one figure of theirs now costs me 49.95 AU each I have to be picky lol

So, to conduct an informal poll: Regarding the NECA Aliens line, do you (1) keep yours Mint in sealed package, (2) Open to display, or (3) Both?

I guess I should answer for myself while I'm typing this; I'm only purchasing the Kenner Line at the moment (the other miscellaneous Aliens are for a diorama project I'm working on), but I'm currently buying two of each figure. One to keep sealed and one to open.

waiting for a review :)

I’ll possibly do a video for this one. Hopefully it will show the scale better than a photo and I can give my initial impressions. I definitely want to see what the foam is like before deciding on the Jockey.

Open so far but I might do a mix of both with the Kenner line. I don’t collect the Kenner Predators but I do like the creativity they put into the packaging. I think the creatures I have the most nostalgia for will be displayed open and the packaged ones will be used as a backdrop.

Do you think its an assembly problem or a sculpt issue? The one I just took apart has legs that look even.

i don't have any of these figures. left leg (character's left) looks longer. what leg is usually called longer?

In my experience with the Terminator ultimates it has been the character's right leg that is longer.

Don't even have this one yet and I can see it's going to be the same deal :banghead

No mention of the issue on ToyArk or anywhere else. I think everyone who is reviewing these things is assuming it's just a matter of reposing but it isn't. You can make it less obvious by yanking on the short leg but one way or another it finds a way to go lopsided again.

Got 2 more Vasquez and Frost today from TRU.com and they were absolutely perfect. The 1st Frost I got from Neca's Ebay store had marks on the hands and the eyes weren't perfect. I also got the Narcissus which is nice but the windshield or whatever you call it wasn't painted very well.

I open all my figures, just not enough space and money to have open and sealed versions. I usually get at least 2 of each Aliens figure to open with the exception of Bishop, just one each of him.

I was very critical of Frost earlier but I have to say if you can just get a decent paint app on the head it's a damn nice figure. And now that I own him it has increased my desire to own a figure of his fellow marine who accidentally dispatches him to the afterlife. You all know who. I've currently got Frost posed for the line ''where man? I don't see ***t!''

edit - oh by the way, I had no idea the packaging provides actual character information for Vasquez and Frost. This is a first if I'm not mistaken. All the other figures up to now, even Newt, have just had the same copied and pasted plot description for the film.

just got the Piglet Alien. white/pink really shows all details of sculpting, as was mentioned here. i wish i bought a swarm of regular ones when they were available.

I go for Aliens line; I don't see them as a resale material hence no clamshell.

Why do they make the crotches so big ? I mean, is it just so they can fit the ball joints in more securely and with more wiggle room or is there just the idea of being able to use the same piece in as many figures as possible as a cost cutting measure ? Sometimes the reuse is so jarring because its obvious that a male crotch is being used on a female figure when they could of easily 'shrunk ' the areas down a bit and smoothed it out and suddenly its more suited for a female action figure.

I only just started to collect these. I got one signed (Weaver on the jumpsuit Ripley from Alien) and I'll keep my SDCC Newt in package. I plan on opening Vaz (whenever it ships from the gulag of ToyWiz) and the Rip/Newt 2 pack. I have Spacesuit Rip, Aliens Rip, Alien 3 Rip and dog alien. I caved and got Amanda from the game because I'm in the process of trying to complete it!
