I've had a couple minor issues in general with Neca figures but the only really bad issues came from the early predator wave that had the elder in it, that figure broke twice before I was able to get it completely out of the packaging tray and I think I had the same problem with the P1 in that wave. I believe that was the wave that Neca claimed the factory they used was the issue and then they went with a new factory. I buy most of my figures on tru.com so I would say I've been very lucky so far.

I didn't like the very first Neca " Predators " wave either, all sorts of breakage issues. I think they finally got their act together when the Dutch figures released

Have just been appreciating those again the past few nights. The Dutch figures have been NECA's benchmark, just superb and no QC issues on mine. The one that came in the 2-pack wasn't quite as good, think the eyes on mine are a bit off, can't remember offhand. There was definitely something about it that wasn't as good as the single-card releases.

Uk hasn't had Aliens Series 9 yet but I'll let people know how the quality is once we get it.

For what it's worth Neca's quality control definately seems to be improving and although I knock them for their QC I wouldn't stop collecting or selling figures made by them. Overall Neca is awesome, I can't thank them enough for this Aliens line and they do stuff no other manufacturer is capable of and top it off with a low price point.

However I don't think anyone can argue that Neca's weakest point is definitely QC, but that is something they can and are improving.

Speaking of international drop dates, anyone have any idea when/if they're going to hit Canada? Toysrus.ca has series 8 in stock, but no sign of 9 yet.

I'm not quite getting it. They'll consider injected flesh tone on this reissue or for future releases?

I read it as a re-release of the old sculpts with (possibly) the same plastic as Vas. No new head sculpts will be added.

If they do the flesh tone ones I think they may do a completely new sculpt, or at the very least heavily retool it. Since they are already reissued the original sculpts in the two pack announced I think they may want to only do a new repaint if its completely different from the two first ones.

I don't think so.

They are testing using the injected flesh tones for the re-release two pack using the existing head sculpts.

Hey Randy, awesome news for the Hicks/Hudson two pack. Will they be the same as the originals or get upgraded to injected skin.

Injected Flesh Tone>Painted Flesh Tone.

Seems to be the case on most examples I've got. Only one that doesn't look great for some reason is the John Matrix Arnie figure for Commando - that one looks weird, the skin is too translucent or something...

I remember being frustrated when they originally came out that Hicks and Hudson weren't 'Injected Flesh Tone' (I didn't know that term at the time) while the Dutch (Predator) figures were and they came out around the same time I think..

I'm really hoping for the injected flesh tone.

Matrix's skin is passable, but I know what you mean. The worst one in my opinion is the first First Blood Rambo they did - the one with the m-60 & bullets. They really botched the skin on that one, he's a pain to photograph -

Mine would probably do the same thing. The worst part is when their nose seems to glow or looks see through. Anyways-

I finally picked up frost today at TRU, they only had 2 left. Have to say the quality feels much higher on him than the previous marines. Paint seems to be better and the plastics. And not one stuck or frozen joint. Plus the accessories are excellent. I'll try to do some loose pics this weekend.

The Frost figure is Windrix with a great new head sculpt, helmet, ammo belt, graffiti and bag. Still has the weak knee and ankel joints that plagued my Windrix figure. Great figure just the same. Though his sleeves were partially rolled up during the duration of the Hadley Hope scenes. So not screen accurate.

New left upper arm, too.
