Wow, I assumed you'd be way older than that. You can take that as a compliment since I'm not talking about a photograph of you :lol

Compliment taken. I know I sometimes post some quite subjective stuff on here guys, so thanks for you all putting up with me.

Am a major fan of the Aliens franchise and didn't know forums / communities like this existed until about a couple of years ago when I first joined. So It's all still quite new to me but it's a real pleasure to talk with fans alike.

My first alien movie at the cinema will be Alien Covenant so absolutely cannot wait for that, jealous of all your stories of watching these films at cinema for the first time.

3 I only really love the assembly cut. Resurrection ? Its got some very interesting ideas in there, but its lost in the bizarre comedic tone in some areas and they never really truly explore the whole dual loyalties of Ripley 8, or even if she is the only clone to survive maturity. It does give us an idea that a company down the road could in theory make alien / human hybrid soldiers.

IMO the "Assembly" cut is just a longer mess. They can't even call it a directors cut as David Fincher has disowned his bastard film child. Gotta like how they have "Alien 3 creature designed by H.R. Giger" in the opening credits. Yah except they didn't use it and went the ADI route. Over used heavy handed alien POV shots, really bad CGI, annoying characters and they got on Giger's bad side. In space no one can hear you snore.

I remember someone told me it was promotional or something.
it's konami and they are great.
they fit 1/6 wonderfully. highly recommended. and the facehugger. the only existing A1 facehugger i think.
Those are made by Konami I believe. Neca has nothing to do with them.
yep exactly.

Cool, thanks, I don't know where I got the NECA thing from.

Well, there's something else I have to buy. :slap

Aliexpress is your friend.

I think he might be confusing it with the queen burster that was in one of the Alien 3 displays at a con. There was never a Bambi burster shown. Just a royal facehugger and a queen burster.

With lousy weather on Saturday I decided to work on some custom figures I had been planning for a while. I still have lots to do on these, I still need to paint over the graffiti on the armor, tweaks here and there and put on the waterslide decals of there names on but I'm happy with the start. Dietrich, Wierzbowski & Crowe were as close head sculpt wise as I could find IMO and I'm not happy with the Crowe hs but oh well. I used a Vasquez, A3 Ripley & Frost figure for Dietrich and had a lot of fun doing it.

What do you guys think?

It looks like in France they are restoring the original Aliens Queen -

Poor thing has seen better days for sure :(

that article is 2yrs old btw...Noble effort but IIRC there is some guy in CA who has the head and most of the Queen from the actual second film. He has a TON of original props and set materials from all 4 movies IIRC.

... that hurts! I mean, I love all four movies the same and I think the only thing dated is *some* of the visual effects

Only thing which is 'dated' is Sigourney's perm cut in Aliens!!!

Not out yet. Last I heard, it was supposed to be out this month, though.

Indeed, I'm looking forward to this one as well. I have it pre ordered from BBTS...

Is the Ripley two pack with Newt coming soon? I haven't seen it at TRU yet

NECA's site shipping calendar (which is more accurate than it used to be) is now saying December 6th as a ship date. Probably widely available 3 weeks or so.

Are those Vaz's thighs on Dietrich to make her shorter? Nice work overall. I have got to get back after these little projects and finish up my own.

Yes, Vas's thighs with Frost lower leg armor and I used Vas's boots trying to get her somewhat in scale since she not as tall as the males. I still have lots to do and some painting.

i hope they will be ok for light figures with firm legs. i.e. humans.
because heavy aliens with bendy legs need supporting stands :(

I think thats what a few of us, myself included, got confused with on twitter when Bambi was revealed. Nice.

So I'm thinking the Alien 3 pack will be Bambi, the Queen chest burster and the Royal Facehugger.

It's weird that, when you see the marines armoured in full gear, you realise just how unprotected their uniform really is. No armour or anything.
