That's an awesome collection and display Kenernest.
It would be neat to make a custom figure using the 1:4th Big Chap and some Enterbay head, hands and feet.
BTW, where did you get that SpaceJockey bust?

bwh1990, I thought everyone was going the "doll stand" route.
If not, one would have to inject silicone or resin into the legs.
As for the pix, you have to upload them the a third party and use the "IMG" code to paste in the reply area of the forum.
You can also upload them directly to the forum, and use the link in your reply.

Thank ya kindly.

I got a 22 inch doll stand for it but I don't think it takes adequate weight off the legs enough. I REALLY don't want warped legs on this beast. Not even risking it. Not after spending $100+ on it.

Guess I'll try the injection route. Where does one acquire silicone?

Designers at neca are dumb or greedy. They probably made the lower legs hollow so it's cheaper to produce. While the customer's gotta worry about warped leg syndrome. Rude.

My rescuing Newt set arrived reboxed by UPS dented and soaking wet today. Thankfully Calendars.com has really good customer service and already has sent me a replacement.

+1 on the packaging being good. I finally received mine over xmas break and I of course opened it. Thankfully they didn't slather on the paint on Newt as I was worried about previously. My only bone to pick with it is the clean thighs on Ripley, otherwise it's a great set!

I definately think it's a bootleg, that cheap, free shipping and where it's from..... if it's too good to be true it probably is.

I think the same thing the description is comical and details is pretty funny.

But they bootleg this figure? This has gotta be difficult to fake. I'm interested to hear what others think.

Received my Rescuing Newt two pack today. Purchased it for Newt, like most others probably, since I already had the first version of this Ripley. Not crazy about the facial expression on this Ripley (too much underbite) although it does resemble Weaver a bit more than the other version imo. I swapped out the gripping hands with the original Ripley since they hold the pulse rifle / flame thrower combo better. Also, the combo weapon in the new set was warped by the twist ties so I replaced it with the one from the original figure which had not been tied down and looked better anyway.

One thing to note, at least on my figure. The right leg on Newt is much longer that the left. I could only make her stand in walking / leaning type poses.

Why do all the Newt figures look like they just threw the first thing they sculpted into the mold before refining it? Some of the faces have pits and splits, and the hands just look awful.
