Any excuse for boobies gets a pass from me. :dunno

Weird. I never considered the marines locker room to be unisex but then again in the future maybe that is the case. I mean in Starship Troopers they all shower together completely naked so sharing a locker room is not a big thing then :lol

You might want to consider multi-quoting in the future.

EDIT: Also, the unisex showers in Starship Troopers required the most suspension of disbelief out of the entire movie. Science-fiction indeed.

Fun fact: The scene in starship troopers was pulled right from the original script of Aliens, I believe. I know for a fact the co-ed shower scene was in the novelization of Aliens (which was written based off earlier drafts before the film's release).

It was a great buy, I am ready to fix anything that comes up. If it does, it's gamble though . Needs a repaint for fun. Plus it may protect it longer

Looks great. The scope or gun or whatever it is looks slightly longer than on the Sideshow Maquette, which was my big problem with it and why I never could pull the trigger, despite hoping for years they would put out a large quality statue of this for years. Just looked way too snub/stubby for me.

Anyway, these pics convinced me to put my order in.

Just curious- how best to store/protect this. Foam rubber is likely to degrade fast over time isn't it? Should any sealer be used or would that just hasten the decay? Should I make sure to pack in a lot of silica packets when I store this?

I have no experience with Hot Toys and I think I heard some of those deteriorating after just a few years?
What do you guys think will be the lifespan on this? Would displaying it in dry winter air be better than humid summer air?

speaking of Vas's smart gun did you guys see you can request the "adios" decals from Neca customer service for free? I requested 3 for all of mine the other day. From what I read the decal was supposed to be included with the figure but the factory messed up and did not include it. Not sure if that's true or not?

Finally got my Ripley/Newt set - it could look worse, I reasonably lucked out. There's some teeth painted onto her lower lip but I think I could fix that myself even with my very limited skills. There's a tiny bit of white bleed onto her lower eyelid. My Newt looks OK apart from one of her eyes looking upwards while the other is looking straight. It all sounds worse than it actually looks in person.

Overall, perhaps not inordinately bad as I had feared from those macro shots. This is within normal NECA parameters - unless I got lucky. (I didn't get lucky with Frost. Still want another shot at him)

Yeah, Cameron wanted to have the entire main cast wet and naked (for totally artistically legitimate and not at all skeezy and questionable reasons) but Jeanette Goldstein, Collette Hiller and Cynthia Scott, who'd already allowed Cameron to have their hair cut off in pursuit of his vision of futuristic military life, basically told him to go to hell at that point. :lol

Gawdammit, it looks pretty good. Makes the Queen look small.

Just got mine today. Haven't opened it yet, but I did take the initiative to calculate shipping to the UK by FedEx Economy. Just could not believe those quotes from BBTS you were giving. Sorry to say, they're correct. I could check and see what an economy seat on British Airways would cost. Might actually be cheaper.

Just received my replacement Rescuing Newt set from Calendars.com and it came in flawless condition. I'm really impressed with their CS. One thing though, they never mentioned about what to do with the one I got originally.

Yeah every Neca eventually takes a tumble on the spinning plate. :lol

Very grey but has some brown mixed in, look closely when it passes the camera.

just got that new 3-pack with queen huggers in it.
well... i hoped that i'll use smaller hugger with Neca and bigger hugger with Hot Toys.
in fact the size allows to use the smaller one with 1/6, and the bigger one must be 1/4 or 1/3! i dunno why they did that.

The smaller one actually is in scale with the NECA figures. The royal facehugger was quite a bit bigger than a standard facehugger. I was actually thinking of getting the set to use the bigger one with 1/4 scale predators.

oh yes i think you're right.
see, i didn't get them out of the box yet - and saw only the silhouette. and the smaller one's silhouette with membranes between paws looked like Konami A1 facehugger's body to me. now i looked better and yes, his actual body fits Neca :)
the big one doesn't fit 1/6 anyway though.
