If you notice, on the pic of the new Colonial Marine being sculpted, the sculptor has ALIENS paused on the computer screen.

The person of focus in that scene...SGT APONE!

What you're implying would be the best thing ever of all time in the history of the universe

The heads are ok. Not sure Hicks is the best sculpt on either figure. I'd be happy with either Hudson sculpt though. I like both.

I do however continue to carry bitterness that they wont have helmets in series 1. The fact they gave Hicks the shotgun and holster essentially makes him "early in the movie" Hicks. Yet...no helmet!

To add insult to injury the two packs will have a screaming/fighting face (as if it were the final battle in operations where Hicks didnt have a helmet!) Yet screaming head has a non-removable helmet.

:gah:

If they want to make different versions to milk this its their right, I just wish they would have at least matched the right face to gear. (Fighting face with a racal, calm cool face with the helmet). Nothing a hacksaw wont fix I guess...

WTF, since when are we getting alternate screaming heads from the 'They cut the power' battle? Thats great! But what are they being packed in with?

Also the designation 'Xenomorph' doesn't bother me as much as ****ing ''Big Chap''! At least the word xenomorph was actually used in the movie.

Apone did use the Flamer. I bet you're right. Unless they went with a generic guy from the game and just used that photo for the equipment..

Hate to be 'Mr. minutia' after my big "not super accurate is ok for the queen/warriors" stance, but while Apone did fire a flamethrower, he had it for like 5 total mins. He took Frost's to roast the chestburster (you hear him demand it AND see Frost give it to him), then the crap hits the fan and he gets snatched. So while I dont object to figures of Apone coming with flamethrowers (that I happily use for other things), I wouldnt exactly say a flamethrower marine has to be Apone.

I would be just as happy with a Frost figure. Ricco Ross is still working in TV and I bet he wouldnt mind the extra pub and a figure! (and I bet Frost is easier to get to sign the dotted line, as he has no bad blood with toy companies in general like Mr. Mathews does).

I welcome Apone or whoever it is. I just love they are making more marines. Even if its a generic 'army builder', ill be converting it to something useful in no time. I LOVE IT. Bring on whoever it is!!!

It pretty much has to be Apone. He may have only used the flamethrower one time, but it was an iconic and memorable scene. That's what I imagine most folks look for in a figure, iconic embodiment. After Hicks and Hudson, Apone is really the only other recognizable and distinct marine that wasn't strapped to a smartgun.

Hey, its cool and I know most people feel that way. But in my opinion they ALL kick serious ***. I wont truly be happy until they make everyone, and until they do, my eye will always be toward the next one and/or how I can convert existing ones into the missing ones.

I think in this pic it's pretty clear that they're sculpting an Apone figure. I mean, look at the flamethrower at the base and the photo of Apone walking from behind on the monitor. EXCELLENT!

Sabres, do you have me on your ignore list? :-(

Actually, reading through the posts after yours, it seems that a whole lot of you ignored my post. WTF.com? C'mon guys, I'm not The Rider here. Geez.

Its 100% Apone. The screen shot is obviously the backside of his armor and the the arms that are stripped down on the table are long sleeved. Also, does anyone see slings on the pulse rifles in the packaging? I sure don't.

Speaking for myself I didn't ignore your post. I simply didn't quote you, or Sabres who repeated what you said, seemingly unawares.

Thanks for bringing this news.

Regarding what they say in the Q & A part about them not seeing any point in making a Powerloader since they can't make Ripley - I would love if they'd instead consider releasing their Queen in 1:6 scale to go with the Hot Toys Powerloader. If anyones on twitter, please suggest that to them.

For what it's worth, the question of doing other scales has been raised to them before & Randy said they did not want to deviate from their existing scale(s) offerings.

Chill dude, I just missed your post.

If you want the cred for it, or the praise, it's yours. :clap
