NECA: Alien Movie Franchise Figures

1.45.12 for Alien. He pretty much confirms a 4th wave with jumpsuit versions of the rest. Look at the interview as a whole though. 95 percent Turtle ********. They've found their Iron Man.

Excellent. Sounds like they'll come sooner rather than later. Wonder which variants they'll choose though - with jackets/without jackets etc - just noticed when watching Alien the other night that Parker wore a jacket at at least one point in the movie - there's also scenes where his white shirt is completely open and of course his death scene where he's only wearing the green T-shirt, torn from his scuffle with Ash. So it'll be interesting to see exactly what scenes they base the figures on.

As for the increasing Turtles domination - at the moment I'm not feeling too much like it's reflected in their actual output of toys. But it's definitely dominating the twitter feed. I did see him acknowledge this once in tweet saying something to the effect ''it can't always be about Turtles''

According to the interwebz in real life Yaphet is about 10 centimetres taller than Sigourney, who is about 10 centimetres taller than Harry.

Seems he should definitely be the tallest but maybe they went a little too far. And I don't know if his head and body should have greater mass than the spacesuited figures.

Lambert in spacesuit has always been too tall given that they just reused the same spacesuit sculpt as Dallas and Kane.

i put one heel of each figure (choosing straight legs for that) to the edge of the table. so now they are like standing on one surface.
compare both the faces and the overall sizes (including Ripley's micro face).

well, that old face paint on Ripley is outdated anyway.

You're right, he's definitely too big. At that size he could really give the Alien a fight.

And I guess Brett is a little on the large side aswell compared to Ripley if Abake's research is right.

I'm not really following why the comparison is being made with the old Ripley figure....? How does the new one compare?

The new one is the same figure as the old other than the head and some different paint apps so the size comparison would be the same.

so either they remake the whole team in a new scale now (and i have to through away the old ones) - or they do nothing and i have a terribly scaled team.

Dunno if it equates to the same in real figure-production terms but I reduced Parker and Brett's size by 5% in this picture edit




That's assuming Parker and Brett are even in scale with eachother....

not enough for Parker, if that photo that abake posted is a good sample. she doesn't even stand straight there, so it's not a good one.
these are better.

also compare the overall proportions. pants width particularly.

Oh well... NECA can't even get the scale of the alien right, so I guess I can live with this.
Mine should be arriving this week, looking forward to checking them out in hand.

Don't think I'm gonna be able to just shrug this off. I was looking forward to these guys big-time. And Parker has big-time Gigantism, Brett too albeit to a lesser degree. I feel like I don't actually have these characters ''properly'' now. Makes you wonder what scale Ash will arrive in.

now it's almost how it should be, though Ripley should still be taller. her eyes are on one level with Parker's mouth there. it was like that on abake's picture, where she bent her legs, torso and neck. other pics have her at the same height with him (taking into consideration her high hair, of course).
but even that is much better and doesn't leave the WTF impression.
and you can see by the remaining piece of Ripley's elbow how wrong her scale is (or better to say Parker and Brett's).

Google says Sigourney is 1.82m (5.97 ft) and Yaphet Kotto is 1.9m (6.23 ft) No way the figures reflect that as they stand.

Man, it's a pity they don't ''overscale'' their KPH Predators like this.

oh yes. though with their paint scheme i don't care. ****tiest paint i've ever seen. otherwise i'd have all of them sereral times by now.

yep i think now it's perfect. that's what i was expecting while waiting for my order.

also you didn't mention the Ripley enlargening percentage in that picture. and even if you do, there is no "basic", unchanged figure. one should be left without changes.

Not sure what you mean by the last. I worked on the assumption that the Ripley figure is the correct scale and only changed Parker and Brett to fit with her as she is.


I really need to bring this to Randy's attention. Ideally in a way most likely to get a response. This is just stupidly inaccurate and whatever about a fictional creature I don't know how this one can be rationalized as anything than a total ballsup.
