Ah, now this is good work. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Last Crusade, Lucas and Spielberg gave it all such a glow. I don't know if it's art, but I like it.

aaaand
Yeah. And here's a novel idea. Put it in the Blade Runner thread. There's been more talk about Blade Runner in the Alien toys thread than in the Blade Runner toys thread.
exactly, and it was actually in my first post :)

I see. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I would recommend you watch the final cut again. I will say you are in the minority with that opinion, especially around these parts.
i don't think i'll be able to watch it ever again. i don't like movies that look like they were made under some heavy narcotic, like that "chase the dragon" game in South Park.
i'm sure i've seen the full version though. i was eager to see one of the most respected movies of 20th century and of course chose the fuller version to watch.

So... was Ripley's A2 "jumpsuit" a two-piece zip/button together job? When she dresses in the locker room with the marines it looks like a one-piece jumpsuit, but later it's obviously a jacket/pants set, because she takes off the top when she goes after Newt. Just wondering how the two pieces connected, as I'm toying with turning my second Ripley into an early movie jumpsuit/bomber jacket version.

It looks like it was two different outfits, jumpsuit/overalls when she gets dressed on the sulaco & the rest of the move is a two piece suit with a belt and two D shackles. Continuity error I guess, or off screen change after she got wet at the north lock...

Well, the scene immediately after the dressing scene is a shot of her in the mess hall, and it's obviously a two-piece. Looks like it's just tucked in the entire movie, so I was wondering if in the dressing scene it was a continuity error, or if there was some way the two pieces were connected. Maybe she's weird and had it half tucked in when she put the pants on.

So series 11, Lambert (which personally I can't wait for) and a Xeno, has the third figure in the wave been announced?

Just had a look, wardrobe continuity error at the locker scene seems like a good call. Doesn't look like velcro - seeing as that was the cutting edge in garment tech back in the 80's! Now lets get back to Bladerunner!

Tucked in after dressing/briefing on Sulaco, doesn't look like it's a zip together as in first pic

I'm actually gonna go on a limb and say that pic proves it was a 2-piece that was attached together.

Look at the sharp angle of the bend instead of a rounded 'roll'. If it were one continuous piece of fabric, I would expect it to be more round as it is rolled over.

Since it is crisp and sharp to a point, to me it indicates that there are two seperate garments that are most likely just Velcro'd together. The connection point is the 'weak spot' where it folds over crisply.

Ripley jumpsuit combo.jpg

At least that is what I would expect. could always be wrong.

scene immediately after dressing up, looks like how it does in the remainder of the movie to me.

When Vaz and Drake are doing pull ups Rip comes back at edge of screen for another second here-

I really hope Neca makes the full jumpsuit with removable bomber jacket Ripley like they did the A3 Ripley at some point in the line.

Yes, it is really is a serious omission, considering that's how she appears for about 75% of the film's running time.
