I'm really excited to get the HT Wolf now, this one was a nice ease into that one.

One thing I love about NECA and McFarlane, they both can have some amazingly painted stuff. The level of deatiail on the armor of Wolf alone is astonishing.

That's good to hear. I guess i want have to repaint him now.

Well that's all a matter of personal tastes. You may still find you think it could be better or should be different. I'm happy with it. Only things I might do, since they're so cheap I don't care if I mess up, is add a black wash to the mask and maybe add some detail the damaged part of Wolf's face. At this small of a scale, the damage texture almost looks like the normal side and the paint is strong to highlight that it's wounded.

Going by this image, it's just a rehash of the same Wolf figure and the face is just a 3rd attachment instead of a unique head, so the unsightly seam will still show. For only $15 I'll still pick it up because it's cool, but at the same time, it's only a $15 figure, why they couldn't put some effort to make some unique pieces too is beyond me. I guess NECA figures these aren't going to sell very well so just recycle molds. What they should have done is, as has been suggested, just one ultimate Wolf figure, with 3 heads and all the accessories, would proably run $25 which is still $20 cheaper than buying 3 figures.

I see you liked my Idea Maulfan.:D

Well now that we see how NECA's handling Wolf, it's definitely the wiser choice. If it were 2 almost identical figures and 1 unique one, it might almost work, but when you have 3 figures that vary so little, not making in inclusive set is just a big old WTF situation. NECA's not opposed to pack ins, their Rob Zombie Michael Myers has interchangeable heads instead of being 2 figures, and they're not afraid to do large/multi packs because they did the origin of evil Michael Myers 2pack. I wish they did more environmental stuff like the porch they did with Myers and Loomis years ago, something cool for Wolf and an Alien or PredAlien would make a cool 2pack setup.

Well to be stealth, a Pred needs to have his mask on.

No, they don't. Linking the cloak and helmet was an invention of the AVP games IIRC.

Remember all the Predators at the ends of P2 and AVP? Loads of cloaked Predators without helmets in both films... you even see the P2 elder cloak while unmasked.
