Cool pics, Sabre! I like these figures, but I don't dig the limited articulation, of which is found on most NECA figures. But I'm curious, how is the articulation on the AVPR Alien?

I gotta agree with the other person, Wolf's bio mask looks weird.

The AvP:R Alien has amazing articulation. Much better than anything McFarlane ever put out.

YES, these are the best alien and predator figures out there in their scale,i like them better even more then hot toys figures.

I have to say I've had the Neca Alien since Christmas, it's a good figure, very well sculpted but i was expecting great things from its articulation, but feel it's a bit clumsey and those cut joints look ugly unless always facing in exactly the right direction, here it is on top ofmy monitor-

Where as the HT one (admitedly a quantum leap as far as cost goes) looks pretty good from all angles, if only the feet wre a little more accurate!

The mask on the NECA looks pretty bad. Crappy bad.

Makes his head look small, too.

And why no extended spear?

Wookster, the feet are inaccurate on the HT AVPR alien? How so? I googled the Neca version and the feet looked similar, if not the same. Couldn't find any screen caps from the film that displayed the aliens' feet though.

Well, I just finished my review, should hopefully send off tomorrow. I did a lot of research and it is damn hard to find good pics of the Aliens feet. Someone here posted a good pic from the sewer scene when the Pred throws an Alien and you can also see on the Neca one that the feet should be slightly larger with opposable big toes, the HT outer toes are missing. Only a slight difference, but a difference non the less.

Yeah, Kyle said they had been in touch with the ADI guys throughout the work, and had access to basically everything, so it's pretty sure that the NECA one is accurate.

DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!! Where are mine:confused:
I ordered a set at my local comic store and it seems everyone but me have gotten there orders. Hopefully next week, or tomorrow. Must be because I'm in Cincinnati, OH.

Wow I'm not impressed with NECA's AvPR Wolf at all....What's with the large seam on the unmasked preds forehead? That looks like crap. Not to mention the difference in the color of the 2 pieces. The armor and mask color also! There's just too many things wrong with those figures. It needs a good repaint and putty work! NECA screwed up big time with the pred. The Alien on the other hand looks pretty good...unfortunately I don't collect Alien. Looks like it's the Stealth NECA Pred for me and that's it.

Ya know I kind of like the fact that it has all of these imperfections. That means that I get to do a little customizing on him, like fix the seam, MAYBE repaint the face, and paint the bronze on the armor and weapons.

Wookster, whats up with the Matrix Walking Turrent figure??!!:monkey5:monkey5 That things looks hella crazy and fraking huge. What is it's proper name and who makes it? I believe I must have one of those!!!!!

So has anyone actually found any of these AvP:R figures in stores? If so which ones? I've been looking to exchange my closed mouth Hybrid for the open mouthed version.

I'm a big NECA fan, but that unmasked Wolf looks like crap. It looks like his actual face is a mask with that horrid seam. I imagine his face IS actually a "mask" so they could use the same head sculpt and just place the masked, unmasked, or open mouthed head on it instead of having completely different heads. Makes me even more mad that there isn't interchagable faces on him.

ebay man. the only place I have seen these for sale was today at a comic shop in pike place market (Seattle) they we're wanting $19.99 each.
