I picked up Masked and Unmasked Wolf today, I'll have pictures later :rock now just to get the flaring mandibles one when it comes out.

My only chief complaint is their practice of sucking money out of people by making 2 versions of every figure, particularly Wolf; same figure just 2 different heads instead of a removable mask. They're cheap enough so I don't totally mind getting 2, but it's offsetting to see a business practice that way.

My review will be up when my comic store gets them in. He has no real dates on when the'll be here, so he tells me next thursday over and over and over and over. You see the pattern? Tommorrow he's gonna sya next week.:monkey4

I got my Wolfs at Spencer's Gifts, just as an FYI for folks looking to get him.

And I'm definitely in the NECA and HT camp, they're both great for their respective scales. I like collecting figures of all sizes if their quality appeals to me and I like most of NECA's figures.

I agree. I knew there was no way I was going to spend Hot Toys money on Wolf ... that's reserved for P1 and P2 BD. But, it's a nice way to get a Mask Wolf now, and the maskless open-mouth variant with Stealth Camo figure with series 3. The figures are well detailed and painted ... but I still don't see why NECA loves cut joints so much. I also wish his elbows had real articulation for added pose-ability. But for 15 bucks, I am happy with my purchase.

I picked up a masked and unmasked Wolf @ Spencer's today as well. After close inspection the unmasked version is going back as the whip handle is broke and flopping around in the package. These figures are OK at best...IMO the McFarlanes blow these away as far a quality, overall look and packaging. These things are just cheap looking. I've even heard some people stating that they are sculpted better than HT's.....what a joke! :rotfl I'll keep the masked packaged just to have one but....I'm very, very disappointed in these figures to say the least.

Hey dude...the whip handle isn't broken. It comes in 2 seperate pieces.

Just thought you should know before you take it back. :D

And the "McFarlanes blow these away..." comment just makes me laugh.

McToys fanboys are so funny.

Yeah the whip, or as a guy on youtube says"whoop" :lol:rotfl:lol:rotfl, is suppose to come in 2 parts. It makes the whip easier to put in the hands of Wolf. And from what I've seen McToys really does blow compared to these guys.

I was delighted to open my Wolfs up last night and find there actually was some variation to them.

I only quickly looked at them in store so I didn't realize they each come with unique accessories, so for the best mix, you're well off having both, like I want to use the spear with my unmasked but it comes with the masked version, and vice versa with the whip. My only dissappointment is that the seam where the differen face parts go is pretty obvious on the unmasked figure. Apparently the design was to make the front half of his head swappable between mask and no mask.

I'm glad I have these to tide me over, I'm getting envious of people with HT Wolf and can't wait for mine now that I'm getting a taste of Wolf figure fun. Love that $15 figures have retractable wrist blades too.

Hopefully I'll have some pictures tonight, I tried last night but I just couldn't get in the zone to get good images.

What i think is weird that from the PredAlien Neca figure pictures, that the mandibles go upward. But mine doesent, why is this? Its no big deal really, but just asking.

Hey Thanks Sabes. I guess it just came loose in the package because the wire tie is flopping around as well. :D

The only McF figures I have are 2 12" Preds, 2 stealth and some fishtanks. I really wasn't thrilled with those Preds either....so I'd say I'm the furthest thing from a McF fanboy there is. I just know what I see....and I've seen both in hand and the McF Preds are better plain and simple IMO. No bias involved, but it sounds like there are a few NECA fanboys here.:D
