It ain't ever pretty with NECA. So much is lost when dealing with this level of collectibles.

I think their Batman figures turned out great. The Predators too.

Something about the human characters (well, the ones without the mask) just gets ****ed upon release. Then again, Bilbo and Gollum turned out pretty well so I dunno.

Neca is still so inconsistent with their paintjobs it would seem

This has the look of a giant Mattel figure with non of the subtle weathering and shadows/highlights shown in the proto

Compare this to say their gears of war figs, predators or even most recently the apes from the new film and its like night and day.

Like difabio said its not even exclusive to the scale, Keaton bats is fantastic and that gollum fig has hot toys level paintwork on a £40 figure

Yup not worth it.. And yet ppl want an 89 Joker from NECA... I'm scared to think what he would of looked like if they did get the rights...

Oh man. After they hit their 89 bats out of the park I was excited to see how this guy ended up. Pretty disappointing.

If it were $20 like a Mattel I would say thats great. But for $100....nope.

IMO sculpted layers of clothing cut with articulation points just doesn't work for a figure at this scale. That's why I'm good with how NECA made their De Vito Penguin. IMO it wouldn't look as good as it is now if it were wearing a long coat.
