I will get any scale, 1/12, 1/4....I just want to know who will take on 1/6 scale!!!!

NECA should, they would do well I think, but they apparently don't want $ from 1:6 collectors.

Sticks, it is great to see those pix again. NOTHING will compete with 1:6 POTA.

If your still interested we should get back to that story. I've been writing a bit again of late for a couple of contests and I certainly wouldn't mind revisiting the Planet of the Apes.

I will make big Gorilla Soldier army with General Ursus as their leader. As I mentioned before I have on pre-order 3 Gorilla Soldiers and I will get series 1 Classic set. Im getting Gorilla Soldier 2-pack when it comes out. So thats 6 Gorilla Soldiers and Ursus but I will get even more Soldiers. This is going to best Neca line ever.

Not NECA but I just wanted to share the Hiya figures I purchased from eBay seller in China. Seems like these are from the manufacturer since they are made in china and comes boxed with their name on it. They actually look pretty good, so I ordered Koba from BBTS. This will hold me till NECA releases them.

Nice, the General Ursus pictures are out for Wave 2. He is still being assembled but it is nice knowing that we are getting a Gorilla 2 Pack and General Ursus soon.

I really hope we start seeing some new poses for the first wave. The recent pictures that I have seen all share the exact pose of the press release photos.

The ape figures from DOTPOTA arms looks too short to me. Like they are really evolving into humans.

I'm not really digging the paint apps...; especially Cornelius and Zaius. Hopefully they will look better in hand.

I'm still on the fence about the Dawn figures. Finally seeing the film will decide things.

I didn't go "ape" for the 2001 Burton film either in regards to merchandising. The stuff I finally bought was largely on clearance.

I love everything theyre doing, leaning towards the movie stuff more though. Im curious if ceasar is gunna get overthrown by Koba (think thats his name) though, just getting a real menacing vibe from that fig...

Yes, and I couldn't tell whether they were doing 1/4 scale or if they were just displaying the 2ups of their little line.
Alas, still no sign of 1:6.
Funny that the guy "Randy" from NECA would proclaim being such a lifelong fan of the series, and that he wanted to do the POTA license right because the previous holders hadn't, yet he doesn't do them in the same scale to show how much better NECA's are [or can be].
I think they're afraid to compete against the big boys.
Too bad as I'm sure 1:6 would have been eaten up by fans.

IM, I wasn't sure if it was me or what, but I totally agree with you regarding the scale. They talk about Heath Ledger's Joker being 1/4 scale and the Apes are right next to them at the same size. If you count the lines on the wall you get 5. Their bat an is 6.25. and their Mego style figures are at 3. Very confusing. Maybe 1:6 scale will come, lets see how things go.

A while back on Twitter, Randy did mention that there could be a possibility of the Apes in 1/4 scale. Of course depending on how well the 7inch ones sale.
