NECA: Predator Movie Franchise Figures

I hear you man, you make valid points for sure.

I try not to read too deeply into movies is all. It's just a personal preference and my approach towards entertainment in general.

That's not to say that I don't appreciate the high quality stuff, it just means I can appreciate the low quality stuff as long as it tickles my brain in some way. Watching AVP has no effect on how I feel about the rest of the franchise. After all - I was able to enjoy the rest after seeing Alien 3, right?

There hasn't been a movie in either series I didn't like. For example, AVPR sucked, but I still enjoy watching it just to look at some predators and aliens. Same with alien resurrection (horrible movie but I like to watch it once in a while).

And with alien 3 - NECA should make a dog alien!

yeah i'm definitely stoked for series 3. as for series 4... i didn't see anything in that interview Sabers posted earlier that indicated NECA is making any more preds. at least for a while. NECA has a lot on their plate license-wise and as far as i can tell, they haven't even started on P2. and the only reason we're getting the Elder is because it reuses most of the P1/Classic figure. until NECA says otherwise, i'm not holding my breath for anything else from the franchise. that said - series 4 should totally have that Stickman thing in it. he's awesome.

On their twitter it said they had "a few surprises" after series 3 was done. I doubt they'd stop after series 3 anyway; the neca preds always sell out in the stores they are in very quickly, compared to other things like gears of war (they are really in love with gears now, I don't know why, they don't appear to sell AT ALL). I wish they'd make a boxset of predators or something too (what, they can do one with the fly but not predators? They've even admitted on their twitter that franchises like the fly never perform at retail!).

Resurrection was actually a good movie IMO though. Well done production and acting wise. The tone just didn't fit with the rest of the movies, and I think that's why everyone hates it so much. It's one of my personal favorites to be honest. The movie introduced a lot of cool ideas IMO.

Yeah, the movie did introduce a lot of cool ideas, I did like that. I thought that the acting was bad actually though, and I kind of hated the cast. But to each his own (I really liked seeing the captive queen though)

it's hard to tell if the Predators line is selling well or not. sure, they're sold out everywhere, but most stores order maybe 1 or 2 cases and that's it. the Jonah Hex figures are sold out too and i don't think that's an indication of popularity of the line. either NECA isn't making very many or nobody is ordering them. that said, i'd love to see a couple boxed sets of P2 lost clan preds with a ship backdrop. they could knock them all out with a couple 4-packs and most of them would be on the P2 figure body with some new heads and accessories.

Actually the Gears of War figures are one of there better sellers. The only reason you start to see them floating around at toys shops is unlike the predators they actually make several runs of the series instead of how the Predators arent even in stores anymore after a few runs.

Nope. AvP's Preds are better then Wolf, but that's like saying a piece of ____ is better looking with glitter on it. Both suck, almost equally.

As far as Res goes....it's ok. It's got a ton of problems, but I can watch it. The look is really amazing. It's a really beautiful film. Just with a lot of story and character problems.

They don't seem to move at all around here, every week I see the same ones sitting on the shelf (as opposed to the predators which, two cases sold out in one day).

I don't know. Just seems like if I were NECA I'd be investing more in the predator side of things.
