It didn't occur to me that series 2 is almost here what with BBTS getting series 1 in so late.

Why did you not just go to toys r us to get them, back in july?
I don't have a Toys'r'us. The only shops in Ireland that sell NECA stuff is specialist comic shops like Forbidden Planet. For some reason I don't think NECA exists according to normal toy stores here - too adult or something 
Yeah imagine saying that here in a predominantly Hot Toys/CMs/PFs/statues/Busts/1:1 replicas forum.
And I just haven't been out physically hunting for toys in quite a few months now. Although, funnily enough I'll be in Dublin tomorrow and I'll probably go into forbidden planet - not that I'd be expecting to see anything I haven't already got or already ordered.

You could ask NECA if they have a distributor in ireland via their twitter account

easier said than done. i went to 4 different TRU stores close to me and none of them got more than one case of the 1st series in and most disappeared the same day. it's pointless to call and ask them because they'll get fired for telling a customer when a shipment comes in. and most employees have no idea what NECA or Predators is. i called about a week before they got any cases in and they said they had them in stock - turned out the employee didn't know the difference between Predators and Wolfman.

... I called one toys r us the day everybody here said they got theirs and they checked for me and put the berserker and falconer on hold for me. Be quicker next time!
Yeh was in Forbidden planet today and saw series 1. No Classic of course. However I was mighty impressed by Berserker and Falconer, top notch figures and I'm now very glad I have them coming to me. Now I hope I get decent paintjobs after having had the opportunity to handpick them myself today if I didn't already have them on order.
anyway I bought the cloaked berserker, for completist sake and because I can't go into that shop and not buy something.
I was also looking at Necas other lines, damn they really do great sculpts all around - Cult classics, Machete, Clash of the titans, Twilight - if I was made of money I'd buy them all just out of appreciation of the work, yeh even the Twilight ones! Incredible sculpts and actually good paintjobs. Kind of annoying actually because the T2 paintjobs are very messy.

Yeah, I'm not into their other lines really but they do a good job with them. If I just bought things for the hell of it I'd probably get most of what they make/
Forbidden Planet Dublin is my Mecca. I love that place.

i guess it depends on the area/market the stores are in. the ones near me are run by a bunch of adolescent s#!t-for-brains.
Same here. I'm hardly ever there anymore because I order pretty much everything online, meaning anything I would get in FP is an impulse buy. However if I'm in Dublin I have to go in. Just seeing figures and toys everywhere, floor to ceiling, is just cool. I wouldn't mind working there, I hate commuting but to work there would be worth it. I don't know that theres much staff turnover though - at least one guy has definitely been there for 6 or more years.
I love going in and they have exactly what I was looking for on the trip there. I remember wanting the Clone Wars Anakin figure from Sideshow and there he was...I was beaming.
I'm visiting Ireland in January. I'll have to check out and compair Dublin Forbidden Planet with Nyc's. I got money on Dublin being filled with less chuds.
Good luck getting any kind of good weather in January! But do check out FP, its on the quays of the river liffey. None of my holiday destinations have ever had any good toyshops, least that I was aware of.
